NSW Halves

I reckon
7 Hodkinson
6 Moylan

Hodkinson is no flash, steady, keeps cool
Moylan has potential to organise, dart around, read the play and create.

Its a partnership like Qld that compliments each other.

Dugan at 1.

Think for the future, but it wont happen. Apparently, players who continually lose have the right to 'redeem themselves '. This is Bozo and Loz's way.

Players who have continually played in losing series get a losing mindset. Fresh faces please. I wish.

And please dont pick players from sides in poor form…..like 4 selections from the roosters etc. Its a joke.

Hodkinson has been horrible this year, I doubt even Daley could pick him.

Id hope not, but this is the coach who has continued to pick the same old players to continue 9 out of 10 losing series, and old Bozo who has been involved in all of them and seen Australia lose its tag as the world champions. Clear evidence that exceptional players do not necessarily equal great coaches or selectors.

Hodkinson's form this year has nothing to do with it.
Daley would have picked his team before a ball had even been kicked.

….....even before Pearse started dating puppies

7-A.Reynolds-decent half,good kicking game,top goalkicker
6-J.Reynolds-absolute grub required to get in Qld faces.

Again it's going to be a **:unamused: David ( NSW) v Goliath ( Qld) in the halves.**
As Chevy has posted, NSW need someone, in the halves to get up and in the faces of Qld to try and put them off their natural game.

I just wish A. Reynolds would run the ball more. Having said that, the cupboard is pretty bare so I'd go with him I think. The 6 is equally difficult. J. Reynolds, Maloney, Bird, Moylan, Coote. I'd probably go Moylan just on class. The Qlders would make Maloney's night a nightmare.
All in all, NSW lack of quality halves is still the biggest issue when it comes to countering the Qld dominance. Hate to say it, but I really don't see much changing this year to the past decade.
Qld 2 NSW 1.

Laurie wont be changing much of the structure he doesnt have too… Incumbent Combination & Club Combination will be chosen in the Halves.

Hodgkinson & Pearce are his preference, so at the very least 1 of them will be there.

1\. Coote
6\. Moylan
7\. A Reynolds

I quite like Coote at 1
But my halves and I've said from early part of the season
6 Maloney
7 Bird of the jack variety
If its combos NSW need throw in 9 Ennis 8 Fafita Lewis Graham along with the skipper…heck chuck heighington and prior in also. The last two maybe not but combinations will go a long way in a blues victory.

Dugan if fit should be fullback- safe under the high ball and runs it back like a machine. Moylan at fullback will lead to a few dropped bombs IMO.

1\. Dugan
3\. Morris
4\. Jennings

17\. Moylan. Used as impact player once a bit of early heat is out of the game. Jack Bird would of been pretty handy as a utility as well.

I reckon they will do a fair job
Reynolds and Maloney

They will get belted on last option plays and they should know it
I think have a 3rd kicker or playing one wide might be the way to go

In recent games our halves have been dominated in last option plays being forced into poor clearance kicks and no attack options.

We need to smarten up .

Reynolds and Maloney is a talented duo kicking, support and attacking wise. Defence, could be an issue but depends who helps them out I guess

A few were on the money here.
I'm happy with the blues team.
The backline is mainly picked on form and class (excepting those injuries).
The forward pack is uninspiring but workmanlike.
Perhaps Farah doesn't deserve his spot over Ennis this year and I think Josh Jackson is a bit overrated but then again I'm all for loyalty and consistency.

Come on you Blues!!!!!
