What chance the sharks pair get the nod for this series? Both playing really well, established combination and great goal kicking ability. Is this the blues best option?

I don't think he'll go for Pearce. Too much riding on that sort of decision. I think the safest bet for him would be to look ahead at this point.

You NSW supporters will see Maloney & Pearce in the halves for sure.

People wanted Austin & Sezar but they've been a bit dissapointing this year - especially Sezar and people have Austin figured out now so his year hasn't and won't be as good as last.

Mark Gasnier said, "I'd pick Greg Bird at #6…"
Not sure if Daley would do this though.

Hodkinson has been absolute woeful and J. Reynolds is terrible, IMO.
Neither of the should get a look.

I would go with Adam Reynolds after last night, thought Sezer but not after Thursday nights game. If Daly picks Pearce, then he should be replaced as coach, not that he shouldn't anyway.

…but Maloney's defence is a real worry at Origin level.

Do we have any good ball-runners that could play 14 and come on and wreak havoc from 5/8? Austin just doesn't look like he's got it at the moment but I can see that being effective against Qld.
