I think it's time to start talking about who is standing up.
I can't see that many yet especially the forwards, at this stage Snowden is the first man picked followed by Gallen. Thoughts?

**If Fit-**
1.J.Dugan / J.Hayne (injury replacement)
2.B.Ferguson / B.Morris (injury replacement)
3.M.Jennings / J.Morris (injury replacement)
4.J.Idris
5.A.Uate
6.T.Carney / B.Anasta (injury replacement)
7.M.Pearce / J.Soward (injury replacement)
8.K.Snowden
9.R.Farah© / M.Ennis (injury replacement)
10.T.Learoyd-Lahrs
11.A.Watmough
12.B.Creagh
13.P.Gallen
res.
14.A.Tolman / T.Mannah (injury replacement)
15.L.Lewis / K.Gidley (injury replacement)
16.L.Douglas / L.Bailey (injury replacement)
17.D.Tilse / K.Galloway (injury replacement)

I've named my first choice 17, not including C.Lawrence as he obviously will be injured and a heap of injury replacement players. If a forward was tobe injured prior to s.o.o, promote one off the bench then one of my injury replacement, hope that makes sense!!!!!

cheers

at this stage my 17 is:
1: hayne

left wing: morris
6: carney
7: pearce
8: learoyd lahrs
9: ennis (ive resigned to the fact that ennis will get it over farah)
10: snowden

Id say Furguson is 12 months away.

Idris looks set to be the right centre, and it would have looked good with Lawrence on the left but it wasnt to be. Not sure who will get it, probably Jennings.

Wing and fullback are hard with Dugan injured and Hayne out of form. Does Gidley come back in? Maybe Stewart will hit form over the next month and stake a claim. At the moment id say they would be going with Gidley at fullback, Hayne on one wing and Morris to fight for the other spot with Gordon. Carney isnt kicking goals still, so if he doesnt resume kicking by Origin i'd say Gordon will get the nod. He did fine last year. Uate and furguson are the bolters.

Halves are already picked.

Hooker will be Ennis, no doubt, we just have to accept it.

Front row is a problem. Todays paper says it all, NO front rowers are standing up. Gibbs will never get a look in but i think he should be one starting prop and play lots of minutes keeping things tight. The rest should be filled with some decent metre eaters with the likes of Mannah, Snowden, Douglas and Galloway contenders. The problem is none are real hard nuts that will put any fear in the opposition.

They may pull a rabbit out of the hat and play Gallen up front. Sounds weird moving a guy who plays lock to the front row, but it could be a masterstroke at that level. Even if he swithches there during the game. Id imagine Gallen would thrive on that challenge.

8.Gibbs
9.Ennis (id pick Gidley)
10.Gallen
11.Bird
12.Watmough
13.Lewis

14.Learoyd-Lahrs
15.Snowden

Like the Gallan idea

Now, what I would go with

1\. Hayne (far too good to leave out. has almost won games before off his own brilliance, must play)
2\. Uate (love watching the thriller burn down the sidelines)
3\. Idris (finally living up to the hype. gave Inglis a bath, the talent is there)
4\. Lyon?? (no one really standing out, Jennings is playing himself out of a walk up start)
5\. Gordon (goal kicker. Morris for me is very poor positionally in defence, and Gordon is just as fast)
6\. Carney (another guys with X factor, no brainer)
7\. Pearce (level footing with Mullen right now, but he has a great combination with Carney, and we need to stick with a halfback, if Mullen does get the nod, leave him there for the series at very least)
8\. Snowden (was strong in his debut last year, deserves another crack)
9\. Ennis (Farah needs to have surgery, and doesn't deserve it on his 2011 form)
10\. Tolman (Hit up machine)
11\. Gallen (no brainer)
12\. Lewis © (most complete player NSW has, can do it all and play anywhere)
13\. Bird (have him roam, and hit the fringes)

14\. Gidley (may cop some heat for this, but he's played well when on the field this year, and did well in this spot last year, sub him on for Ennis late in the first half, then leave him on for the rest of the game. use him and Ennis in tandem for the last 15 minutes, with one of the ball playing backrowers coming off)
15\. Watmough (impact player, give him good ball on the fringes)
16\. Mannah (in great form)
17\. Learoyd Lahrs (impact player, done very well for NSW in the past)

Gallen will be @ 13, Watmough to start and Gidley will take the bench position.
NSW will lose another one, lol.

For the people picking Jennings he is one of the most dangerous players going and i love watching him play but if anyone has watched any Penrith games this year this guy has been awful very very awful, his discipline especially he's way out of sorts atm no urgency no commitment just plain lazy, if i was his team mate i would of been giving it to him for some of the things he's done on the field this year. Last year him and Lewis were probably no-brainers, this year i couldn't have either.

This is my feeble attempt at a team
1\. Hayne
2.Gordon
3.B Champion
4.Idris
5.Uate
6.}Soward, Carney
7.}Mullen, Pearce
8.Snowden
9.Ennis
10.Tolman
11.Creagh
12.Gallen
13.Bird

14.Gidley
15.Mannah
16.Learoyd Lahrs
17.Tim Grant
18.L Douglas
19.B Ferguson
20.B Gibbs
21.A Tupou
Lots of new faces maybe too many but something has to change
No more Hindmarsh, Ryan, Bailey, Laffranchi, Anasta, Ryles, Lyon, King, Kite, Jennings, Waterhouse, White, Morris Gasnier, Cooper, Wallace, Weyman

If it was upto me, without any bias whatsoever and assuming everyone is fit and in form…

1\. Hayne
2\. Ferguson
3\. Jennings
4\. Idris
5\. Gordon
6\. Bird
7\. Mullen
8\. Snowden
9\. Farah
10 Tolman
11\. Lewis (mainly on the right)
12\. Heighington (mainly on the left)
13\. Gallen (in the middle)

14\. Gidley
15\. Watmough
16\. TLL
17\. Mannah/ Galloway

do you mean because then we will lose players around Origin time?
i just thought about that…
but surely some of them will get picked!
Moltzen- maybeeeee, give it a few years he'll be captaining the Blues team wearing the number 7 jersey
Heighno
Ayshford
Robbie
Galloway
Lawrence- if he hadn't injured himself
:sign:

1\. Dugan
2\. Uate
3\. Idris
4\. Gasnier
5\. Gordon (GK)
6\. Carney
7\. Pearce
8\. Snowden

17\. Learoyd-Lahrs

Don't care what anyone says, if Hayne is to play, it isn't at fullback. Dugan is allround a better player already and QLD are have that much talent and SOO experience to negate Hayne's impact. Uate is a machine on the flank and Idris is starting to round out his game and is becoming less of a liability on the defensive line so should be an inclusion in the centres. Dan Hunt should get a start on the bench for mine, solid front rower who will go forward which is what NSW need. Tempted to include Gidley over Ennis, but Ennis will get the nod.

Cultured Bogan
I've got two questions about your side
1.Do you expect Ennis to play 80min at hooker?
2.What happens if a back goes down in the first 5min of the game?
