NSW SOO Team

Very strong performance by the team in game 1\. Some very gutsy defence held us in it for much of the second half, when past Blues sides would have lost it. A few minor changes to the side for game 2 and we're sweet

1\. Dugan
2\. Hayne
3\. Gasnier/Idris
4\. Jennings
5\. Uate
6\. Soward
7\. Pearce
8\. Tolman
9\. Ennis
10\. Snowden
11\. Scott
12\. Bird
13\. Gallen

14\. Lewis
15\. Lahrs
16\. Mannah
17\. Young

We lost by 4, and it was probably our best performance in a live rubber for some times and definitely the gutsiest. Play with that heart and passion in the next 2 games, we're a chance to take the series out, gutted we lost, but definitely not angry.

They'll probably start Young again, with Ennis on the bench, I thought it worked well tonight.
Lahrs will make an impact when he comes on, he's a massive unit and a strong runner. It's his time.
I thought Mannah did well when he came on tonight, but didn't get enough game time
Lewis is quality

QLD dominated when Young was on the field.

Ennis did put good pressure on Locky and JT but they still both played well.

NSW really needed a Wing type benchie who comes on when the boys get tired and creates space around the ruck. Ennis is not that player. Gidley or Farah would have provided that spark.

NSW forwards were very weak with the ball, king made 25meters off only 4 hitups!!!!

NSW backrow tried hard but were ineffective in defense missing a combined 20 tackles…they did however make a combined 115.

I really thought that score flattered the blues. A few unlucky bounces in the ingoal robbed us of tries. We were missing Ingliss and Hodges. Tonga played 60 minutes with a bung shoulder. JT's radar was off. I put that result down to the Dragons players stoic goaline defensive patterns and the outstanding attack of Uate and Jennings.

LOL Ricky Stuart said NSW will never stop QLD dominance if they constantly chop and change the team. Errrrr how about keeping that thought but PICK THE RIGHT PLAYERS!!!!!

The side went pretty good. My only real issue is with King.

I dont even remember him from last nights game.

I think its time to stick and address only the injuries.

you cant be happy with brett morris. its not the first time he has basically gifted qld a try

also where the hell was dugan when qld scored their first try when cam smith kicked it through for thurston??? dugan should have been back there to stop that

Dugan was up in the line, right in front of Smith. After the half break he came up to plug a hole.

did you know that 40 different players have represented NSW during the last five Origin games? And only one of them (Robbie) is a Tiger.

Ha, just realised that's wrong. Haven't been any Tigers picked in the last five games. No Warriors or Broncos, either, but that's no surprise. Here's the count:

DRAGONS 10
SEA EAGLES 6
PANTHERS 4
BULLDOGS 4
EELS 3
RAIDERS 3
SHARKS 3
KNIGHTS 2
RABBITOHS 1
ROOSTERS 1
STORM 1
COWBOYS 1
TITANS 1

Changing up the entire spine (although I guess you looked at keeping Pearce and Soward) when it's unnecessary, they weren't the reason we lost
Anasta has been tried many times before at origin and he just don't cut it
Throwing Hoppa in before he's ready knowing he won't be available again until at least 2014 (if ever)

If that was for game 1 (apart from hoppa) it's a decent side, but making 9+ changes after you lose by 4 isn't a good idea in my opinion.

lewis is before anasta

pearce is before mullen

soward is before carney

the only reason i listed hopoate is because im sick of morris playing bad in origin and i want hayne at fullback. if michael gordon wasnt injured i would want him on morris' wing

hayne is the only player capable of matching it with slater.

farah is the only one capable matching it with cam smith at hooker. farah at his best is better than ennis or young at their best, although i admit farah isnt as consistant. the more he plays in rep teams i think the more he will be consistant in them because at wests tigers he is used to running the show but he needs to get used to rep teams and fitting into them and their style of play. nsw should have stuck with him and should still stick with him

i listed galloway but im not sure about him really because he is injured alot. i dont want king in the team though
