here is a list i have found of off contract players in 2012 to give an idea of who the tigers may possibly be chasing…not sure how updated it is though. ive bolded a few players that i think the tigers should look into.

Doesnt seem to be too many props on the market but i suppose with the promotion of BMM and Woods to the squad and Begovich and Groat not far behind it might not make a difference to us

half the guyz you named aren't even off-contract this yr.Off the top of my head i can name Dugan,Gordon,Tupou,Maitua,Poore,Moltzen,Tuqiri,Webb,Ryan and i'm sure there are more there

if this thread is about off-contract players the tigers can chase why are you including tigers players???

wether Ben Teo is off contract i'm not sure but it shouldn't matter coz he's blacklisted from the tigers IMO.The way he carried on in his last yr was a disgrace,and the way he shopped himself around to the highest bidder and then tanked it after he signed with the broncos was a dog act

Just putting this out there, maybe we are all wrong about how the tigers are going to re-build…what if you had a similar junior player group to that of 05 but with the experience of doing it for a second time.

I think next years team will be even younger. With the addition of a new prop (Blair) and that ex all black player who wanted to sign two years ago (pivot/outside back)

With maybe some bolters from Toyota cup, in form that's a great team.

Has dugan resigned whith the raiders yet as i heard the roosters were trying to buy him….if the tigers do have a heap of spared cash from the players they have let go they should sign this fella or even instead of blair and buy another forward.

Sorry Benji, but your best mate Moltzen has to go. His defence is just not good enough. We can't afford to have three non-tacklers (Marshall, Moltzen, Lui). We want a fullback that can save tries through his defence. I see Flash Gordon is off-contract. Probably expensive though, but maybe not since he hasn't played rep footy yet.

I think that list is old. Gordon is signed up and I doubt that the Sims brothers are available either. List could be from 2010.

I'd like Shaun Johnson from the Warriors.
They are playing Seymore ahead of him so if hes off contract and wants a starting spot we should try get him.
However id be happy with Miller at #7.

I think if we aren't going to be giving Mullaney or Tedesco next year we need to buy a fullback. I still think Wes naiqama is the best option on the market. Perhaps sign him on a 1 or 2 year deal and during his time here let him help Mullaney an or Tedesco.

Don't think this list is that up to date/correct? Didn't Dugan re-sign with Canberra? Gordon with Penrith? And Tuqiri was on a 3 year contract, meaning he's still signed for 2012…

But if some of it's correct then:

Would definitely take a look at Tariq Sims. He and Dwyer would be an awesome future backrow pairing. Although I think this is Sims' first year at the Cowboys? Is he definitely available for next year?

Although we've got some young gun props coming through - Groat, Begovich, Roqica etc - Mose Masoe and Russell Packer could be good cheap buys to add a lot of size and aggression to our depth.

your list is for players coming off contract at the end of 2012 not 2011 so there is no point unless they get a release from their contract do you not think that some if not most would have been resigned by now such as Dugan, Sims, Shillington etc.

I would love to get Dugan from under the chooks noses! That would explain why we are shedding so many players.

Croker would also assist in goal kicking, and if Ayshford is to move into the pack then that would make sense.

Look, I'm not silly enough to believe everything I hear and I'm taking this with a grain of salt, but it does give us some positives to focus on and would explain why we are freeing up so much cap space.

Luke Walsh- Imagine adding a kicking game to the tigers - it would make us such a better side and leave Marshall and Farah to take charge with running and ball playing, plus he does lots of little bits around the field and his defence is solid for a halfback. Then we just need someone to catch it so perhaps Vidot or someone similar

Mate noone will agree but Im on your level. Walsh isnt a superb halfback, but we have crazy halves who can do the other staff. What we substantially miss is a irector and a kicking game. Thats all Walsh has to do. If he can do that, and then just feed benji the ball wed be a ten times better team. He also woudlnt cost a bomb.

We need to consider some guys on that list who wont cost you a bomb yet could do great things. The only exception I would make is if it was for a top quality fullback (dugan, stewart). But elsewhere need to look at value. players like Linnett, Norrie, Packer, Perret etc

i'd pass on Croker.I thought the other 2 were under contract.I'm pretty sure Dugan is contracted till next yr,besides i'd have thought if Dugan goes anywhere he'd be a shoe-in for the Roosters conisidering they have a history of poaching Raiders players i.e Brett Finch,Todd Payten,Todd Carney,Justin Carney and Phil Graham
