Official - Josh Reynolds Signs Megathread

You'd think with Reynolds & Woods being mates JR would've spoke to woods about the club… Despite all our deficiencies it doesn't appear woodsy discouraged him like he couldve

I don't think they are mates he is there to play with Klemmer and trying to make the club look like it's their fault. You can bet your bottom dollar he has a crack on fox to force a release. Badly advised it seems.

Canterbury's NRL title aspirations have copped a blow with star Josh Reynolds ruled out for five weeks with a hamstring injury.

Reynolds suffered the tear in the first half of the Bulldogs' round nine win over Canberra and failed to return to the field.

His absence is a big hit for coach Des Hasler, whose side sit in the top eight after winning four of their past five matches.

Reynolds played a significant part in the run, having tallied three tries, 18 tackle breaks and 10 offloads this season.

Utility Matt Frawley is likely to move into the halves to partner Moses Mbye, who had previously been moved to hooker as part of the Hasler's halves rotation.

The Bulldogs take on ninth-placed North Queensland on Thursday.

Canturbury's title aspirations? They are a thing? Good to see they are still the most overrated team in the comp.

I wonder what the reaction to this would be if I posted it on the Bulldogs forum.

Probably laugh that a Tigers fan has an opinion. Apparently when you follow a struggling team, you are not allowed to have a negative opinion of other teams.

Dun know. Give it a go.
I'd be more interested in what the fans in chook forum thinks of other clubs (ie Souths and Cronulla) going
L Mitchelle even though he is still under contract.

They're not very kind to people with negative opinions of their team over on the Dogs forum.

Neither is this forum.

The thing that I got out of the article was how honest Ivan was no little white lies just straight up front.

On now on league life, interview just about to start

Much chop?

Just that he does a charity clothes drive every tuesday night, where he gives his time to hand out clothes to the needy. He is a very humble and grounded bloke, he sees himself no better than the people queing up for handouts.
He said he is just lucky that he gets paid to kick a ball around. A lot of the needy knew him and were calling him Josh.
We are lucky to have someone like him around the club next year.
Only briefly mentioned footy where he said to one guy, yes it is true I am leaving to join the Weststigers next year.

If you are talking about charity work, we do…..Kev.
(Feeds the poor every week).

A lot of players do charity work and credit to them especially those that do it to help rather than the positive news coverage. Reynolds is a good bloke from a very nice family. Grub on the field but not off it.

I have no doubt that Reynolds will be a great buy for us and will work very well for Brooks next year. My only issue is how long his contract has been signed for, he'll be 32 years old receiving $750k that year at the end of his contract. Is that not seen as a liability for anyone else?

The salary cap will have risen quite a bit by then, and $750k will be fairly reasonable, if not a bargain
