I paid more attention to JT today because I believe, he as an individual cops a lot of unnecessary flak. I understand why people complain about his go forward at times, but, this guy works his butt off in defence for such a big man - under these new rules. Go Weststigers!

He was horrible today, probably his worst match and I'm glad he didn't get back in the game. He's got cement feet at the moment. He shows effort in defense but he's so gentle in his tackling and has very little impact. Tackles he was involved in resulted in quickplay the balls and messy marker defense. I thought there was a noticeable improvement when he went off. His lateral movement is bad and he was being targeted. He's rubbish at gaining metres in attack but to his credit he doesn't end up on his back often.

Basically the forward pack should be ashamed of their effort today. So little intent. That's not all Tamou's fault but you want your leader to be able to lift your side with a big hit-up or tackle, and Tamou isn't capable of that.

I think someone posted earlier re: Tamou pushing up hard in defense. Why was no one else following him. He is our leader, he must force the team to push up quick with him. Its ultimatum time. If these fools won't follow the plan or start wanting to win the game, then get the hell out. James hasn't been fantastic by any means but he does push up hard in defense and its so critical in the game now. Our team just never seems to want to do it and I think its because they couldn't give a crap and they have no heart. They are lazy slobs atm.

This is part of the problem - with the ball in hand he has a go and was our main forward to dent Souths line and make a clean line break. Defensively he's got no lateral movement and from I can see, the knee issue seems to be on the outside of his knee, which is hampering him. Still, defence is an attitude and our players have the wrong attitude in spades unfortunately.

Tamou needs to go back to state cup or retire. The game has passed him by. Just because you have a "c" next to your name doesnt give you a right to a first grade jersey. If you cant run the ball with some mongrel as a front rower its time to go.
