I didn't ask about number first grade games I asked about internationals in our backline and you gave me 1 Kiwi who has played 1 game for us and 3 tier 2 internationals

I watched about 10 minutes of the Huddersfield v Wigan game ..and his tackle attempt on McQueen when McQueen scores was pathetic ......

Don't worry Hastings doesn't miss out .....three forwards are trying to put the ballcarrier down in a tackle in the lead up ...Hastings is standing tell everyone to go right and left when he should have been tying up the ballcarriers hands .....get the pass away to half who then hits McQueen .....

If they were high class NRL players ( as is being suggested by many on the Forum ) they would be carrying this side ...they aren't ...they will be lower tier NRL players ...exactly what we have already ....I did note in earlier posts that Wigan had injury issues ...Lam admitted himself the reason he didn't release Hastings this season was for that exact reason ...saw it in a post game interview .....from memory their forward pack was pretty injury free ......at that time

English internationals are *definitely* on the same level as NZ. For the last 15 years there have been some epic international matches between England and NZ, often won in the last few minutes. They are basically evenly matched.

Forget about tiers and internationals. Using your argument, you could defend Mbye by calling him an Origin player, but no one is foolish enough to do that. The pool that England have to pick from is inferior to Australia or NZ. What’s more relevant is how much first grade the others have played, cos that’s what Oliver is coming here to do. And right now, he’s nearly 225 games behind BJ and about 155 behind Noffa. To claim a guy whose never played NRL is better than 2 players with that much experience is not an educated opinion,

That’s a terrible argument. Put the current Roosters team, with all their injuries, into the ESL and they would still go undefeated. We’d even be a top 4 side.

How’d that work out?

Well they were a lot better team with him than they are without him. Not suggesting that's all down to him. It was a messy exit but clearly he could compete at NRL level. Of course the successful Poms in recent years have tended to be forwards, but that doesn't mean they're incapable of producing talented backs as well.
