One Centre, One Backrower

Without seeing our structure under Taylor it is very hard to ascertain what players we need… Going by how we have played over the past couple of years, we simply dont use Backrowers.

Personally, I feel we are 2 Effective Props short... Get this right, and it will open up for Backrowers and Centres to do there jobs!

Who I would like to see has a 0% chance of eventuating so I'll go with who I would like to see that JT would have a legitimate shot of getting:

Centre - SKD
2nd Rower - Lewis Brown

We would also need to look at re-signing Simona but surely we have cap space for it. SKD is solid and wouldn't have to lose him to Origin like we would with Jennings.

Lewis Brown is as solid as they come. Would love to see him in a Tigers jersey

Alex Glenn? The guy who captained the Broncos at various stages last year? Yeah, i can see him busting for a change of scenery…!

Brown looked good in a WT jersey at the beginning of his career. A good solid player, but not exactly a player you throw the cash at. If you offer 300k for a 200k player that's when you get cap issues...

Untill we get our cap and recruitment up to scratch and wait untill JT makes a move for players…....we can speculate till we are blue in the face....

Simona is a keeper.
Lewis Brown - hell yeah, Fulton 2.0 ??
Return of the lost son.

I know we want a marquee centre and edge backrower. I also know Simona is viewed as a long term centre option while Lawrence will more than likely be playing in the backrow from 2016.

Lawrence knows he needs to have a big year this year to even entertain the thought of keeping him past the 2016 Season.

His form the last couple yrs hasn't been through lack of effort, its the fact he's not physically capable of being the same player he was pre-injury. He won't be any more determined this yr than he has any other yr.

That comment is slightly confusing Willow

If he is being looked at as a potential back rower next season , why would they have stripped 6 kgs off him for ??

If the effort's been there , he's been very poor IMO , but so has most of the side .
He should be determined cause after 2016 if he keeps the form he has shown the last couple years ? i'd doubt there would be many clubs wanting his services IMO.
I'm hoping he has a break out year and forces our hand to extend his Contract past 2016 .
Here's hoping .
All the best to him.

Yeh your right Happy and I did wonder the same thing. I imagine that JT is looking to get the best out of Lawrence in the centre's this year due to our lack of stock there, so he trimmed down. Then look to buy a centre for 2016\. I dare say if we had a genuine centre option this year then Lawrence would be a back rower now.

Won't. Be hard for him to put that size back on next off season if needed

Steve Matai about to be released from Manly. Can't stand him would. He would be overpriced but I would love to have him playing for us.

I know we are desperate for centres but if this blokes constant grabbing at his shoulder / neck are any indication them his body must be close to washed up. Can't cop the way he goes down injured as if almost dead then springs up to resume on a weekly basis.

No Matai, He should be Manly through and through, He is willing to dump it all for $$$$$.

Approaching Use By date and we don't need the older players looking to extend their incomes, we have had enough of these in the last 10 years….

Lawrence has lost weight as a result of the changes implemented by the new S&C team. He's stronger and fitter than last year, but also lighter.

Probably has a lot to do with the gluten free diet that JT has put them all on. I went gluten free for quite some time during last year - it can help you shed some weight and feel heaps less sluggish, inside and out.

Gluten really isn't good for anybody, yet they fill a very high percentage of our food with it. I'm sure the FMCG companies are trying to kill us all.

Really it doesn't matter which centres and backrowers become available..JT said no buys…Simona and Lawrence will have to do the job in the centres this season with maybe Fine....Sue and Ava will help In the backrow......

I don't really know what JT has in mind but I reckon come 2016 there will be some important signings.....we can only hope we have the finances to spend....
