Its true I believe.

I think the whole thing was a plot concocted by Panthers, Gould, Cleary to undermine and hopefully bring about the extinction on one of the panthers main rivals in the west. Send in Cleary as the "saviour" but really a white ant to blow out the salary cap, dangle Jnr, cut Moses, brings us financially to our knees, then escape back to a bigger and better club - high flying whilst we drown in our own septic of blown salary caps, has been players, media pushes to cut/merge WT and fan exodus.

True to an extent but how many people had the full picture....How many supporters were privvy to player contract amounts and their medical examination findings? More details have since come out that weren't available at the time and I'm sure there is other information that has or will never come out.
It's the same as supporting a political party, you put a lot of trust in leaders to do the right thing by you so you often don't question their decisions.

as the people in those positions.

The idea in business is to surround yourself with people who know what they are doing and you trust in their judgement. Pascoe
was conned by a conman, just like the rest of us. He would not have signed off on those deals either without Board approval.

I didn't agree with Cleary pulling the original offer. We could of paid that in view of Mbye and Reynolds. I wonder what the discussions were like in the Cleary household vis a vis junior?

I guess what I am driving at is were the long term interests if WTs protected from perceived conflicts of interesrs?
