Is it true that Josh Reynolds, Moses Mbye and Ivan Cleary all had the same manager at the time of signing for the Tigers? Please tell me it is, cause it would make SO much sense why we bid so much money on these guys when no one else was chasing them. Not to mention the Packer and Matulino contracts too, they're old mates with Cleary.

I didn't agree with Cleary pulling the original offer. We could of paid that in view of Mbye and Reynolds. I wonder what the discussions were like in the Cleary household. vis a vis junior?

The club needed to know what they were doing moving forward. It wasn't like the offer was sprung on Moses the week before. If you can't make up you're mind after 12 months of having 900k sitting in front of you then there is a fair chance you aren't taking it. Keep in mind, there were four players off contract who would not commit to the club, coincidentally all managed by the same guy who vowed to bring Wests Tigers to their knees. Moses was offered the money and a new coach, which he still wouldn't commit to. IMO they couldn't have done any more to keep him.

But I think severing control and power from that Manager was critical. If it means we lost a few players on the way through, so be it. You are now seeing at other clubs just what damage that manager is doing. Its bigger than M. Moses.
