Panthers offer Sheens $2m deal

The way he deflected the question of a contract with penrith when asked to him did sound like there could be something to this.

Multi season/multi million dollar deal….

I think the deal was already done that's why they punted Elliot after 7 rounds and Sheens has been putting our club off and Blair hasn't signed.

Thats the feeling i'm getting too

Just cause he didnt give anything away it doesnt mean hes leaving.

I would be very suprised if he leaves us.

Contracts can be bought out and if the player wants to leave a club the clubs normally dont stand in their way.

Not suggesting anyone would but you never know.

Who said blair is a definant signing anyway.

Hell I'll take Matty Elliott on the following terms;

Lachlan Coote and Matt Bell join Wests Tigers

Benji Marshall, Robbie Farah, Gareth Ellis, Keith Galloway, Chris Heighington, Lote Tuqiri, Chris Lawrence and Robert Lui remain at the Tigers.

I honestly don't mind who we get. I think that with any fresh ideas this club will come good.

i hope sheens stays … taking on the panthers is akin to coaching the sowfscum. even if the panthers offer big bucks i reckon sheens will want to stay on to see out the culture and playing roster he has created. i do think though that this needs to be sorted asap so everyone, coaches and supporters, can get on with whats most important, the weststigers !!

What irritates me is that sheens has been talking to the club about extending his stay since the start of the year. The board finally gives the go ahead to sign sheens for another 2 years and now this happens with the real possibility of him leaving and going to the panthers.

This puts the tigers right back where they started from. They maybe have to look for a new coach with not much options out there.

It also affects player signings as well. They will not know who is coaching the side.

He debuted there, played his 12 year career there, debuted coaching there…took them to their first semi.

God let's just wait and see what happens. It's all speculation no one knows anything and for people to get angry at rumor and gossip is just ridiculous. All he said was he is not discussing it as he said he would expect the players to do.

I for one want him to stay. I don't feel there is a better replacement available.

Just watched his interview on NRL on Fox, his effort in answering the first question screams to me that he is gone. Even my gummie loving wife who was watching [whilst facebooking] agreed. Her comment was "he is outta there".

Maybe the reason Penrith have not resigned Lachlan Coote is because Moltzen is going with Sheens to Penrith to be a fullback there
