The World is a sad place when you can't go to a restaurant, soccer game, shopping centre or concert and know that you are safe.

Absolutely Tragic..

Thoughts and prayers with all the victims and their loved one's

How can the authorities close down the country to prevent the terrorists potentially leaving? Preventing hundreds of thousands of innocent people leaving the country?

France began bombing Is in Syria 6 weeks ago.

Australia began bombing Isis about Sept 11 then four weeks later Curtis Cheng gets killed in Parramatta.

May we also keep Lebanon in our prayers as just 24 hours earlier, 43 people were killed & over 240 were injured during suicide bombing attacks by isis in Beirut. #PrayForBeirut #PrayForParis #PrayForWorldPeace

Gutless effing cowards killing innocent civilians.

As long as religions exist these atrocities will continue to happen. War on terror is a never ending war.

(I won't apologise for the disguised swearing in this case I feel its warranted.)

you know what?

we all try to justify our actions to each other and to ourselves or maybe to god. i wonder what possible justification these guys have for killing innocent people? doctors, nurses, paramedics, cops all spend hours and hours a day trying to save lives and within minutes all their goodwill is undone.

as negative as it sounds, these kinds of attacks and wars have happened all throughout history and will continute to happen- you can't teach humanity unfortunately.

As terrible as this is, it really illustrates a trend when something like this happens. This type of media coverage and outpouring of well wishes only ever happens when something happens in the Western world. I remember a day or 2 after the Lindt Cafe siege, the Taliban slaughtered 140 children at a school in Pakistan and it was somewhere on page 20 of the newspaper. Barely any coverage at all.

All these acts are as equally heinous as each other, but its only when something happens in a country that is an ally of the US that people sit up and pay attention.

Their have been "peace" musicians over the past 50 years… the Searchers, Dylan, John Lennon, Pete Seeger, that was in the West that overall had excellent social conditions. Much of the 3rd world did not have such music or social conditions - ruled by murderous dictators, exploited etc..

It took Burma about 25 years to get it's democracy back from the army and amazingly the same woman is there slugging it out with them.

Up to a million died in the Algerian War of Independence from France so...

I was never in favour of all these countries bombing Is - just did not sound correct. It started with the break up of Iraq following Saddam's removal when the Sunni Muslims had no protection in Iraq. Getting rid of Saddam was a very big mistake in the long run.

Reaping what we've sown as a species.

The difference between the haves and have nots is ridiculous. People are denied education. This is why they cling to religion and are easily turned to fanaticism in which you end up with lunatics eager to kill to please their sky daddies.

Something has to give otherwise we'll wipe ourselves out. Given what happens on a daily basis on this rock it might be a blessing for every other species on the planet.

Problem is they are denied an education by their own religious leaders CB.
Something is going to give soon - the world's biggest problem by far.

No doubt it would. Humans are supposed to be the most intelligent form of life but we prove on a daily basis that we are far from it. This lot that carried out these attacks are more pathetic than most.

Easy to recruit and lead people when they're kept stupid.
