Parra interested in Simona

With a salary cap of virtually 7 Million the average player in the top 25 makes 280k - Is Simona that far below average that 200k is the right amount ?

Simona is a quality first grader and we have to try and keep him. I think he is a given at left centre for the tigers for a while,

A try assist is the same as a try. Simona has some very quality passes whilst under pressure.

You're right but for every player who gets 400plus, someone else has to recieve 150-60\. And we've got a few on 400plus

I would still like to see him back on the wing. A fair portion of the highlights in bonstonkers vid show Tim making breaks using speed and big fend to get on the outside of his opposition. Id like to see him replace Pat next season if Pat retires.

I'd keep Simona if he is happy to stay on a suitable amount of coin… I also feel he will be spectacular as a Winger once Richards moves on.

What does a non-Goal Kicking Winger earn these days?

Tim has said he would love to stay if the club wanted him,and more or less said money was not a factor,he loves the place and can see good times ahead with his mates here and would pretty much take any offer to stay.

40k if you're Daniel Toupou from the Rorters

Simona is one of the clubs few strike wide players. He set up Richards penalty try with a neat move on Sandow before flicking it to Richards. He's class in attack and pretty safe in defense too. Our number one centre with the problems Lawrence has had over the past few years.

Come on guys - a little faith and loyalty for a good junior who obviously wants to stay a Tiger. Simona has had some injury problems that have hampered his form, but he seems to be looking sharp so far and has worked up a good combo with Pat. You can't knock his willingness or effort either.
It's not like we have an abundance of genuine wingers and centres at the Tiges. In my view Simona is currently our number one choice as an outside back - so why aren't we supporting him??? I say sign him up to a fair deal asap and give him the chance to repay our faith in him.

Yep. Hands off Parra, we like Tim!
Lock him in on reasonable money. He's versatile and we are yet to see the best of him. That's not speculation, that's just because he is coming into his best and we are yet to give him decent service!

Simona has big waves of form that last weeks at a time. Some players do. The thing is when he's out of form he is still NRL quality and in form he is international quality. His inconsistency will keep his price tag down. He is a keeper.

Interesting perspective Mac. One thing I have noticed with Simona is that he seems to play some of his best football in wet weather. He seems to be good for a line break or two in the grease.

Simona playing average is still a quality first grader. If he gets opportunities I reckon he is international quality as well. It will be hard to find a better centre.

Very confident he will re-sign, especially after Grant Mayer hinted in his last report of player retention. No doubt it will be next week before the raiders match.
