The unlimited cap of some clubs never ceases to amaze me.

How you aren't alluding to Parra. I hate them but they have almost a million left over from Hayne.

They signed Watmough to $800k with Haynes money, have signed Foran to $1.2 mill Hopoate is on $800k they re-signed Folau and Takairangi are chasing Scott want to resign Sandow who is on $550k.
They can not keep signing high profile players with only average or bottom tier players to come off contract, something doesn't ad up with the way they are going.

Why are TPA's so hard to understand. All the clubs use them, at least the high profile anyway. You don't think that every cent a player earns, they earn from the club do you?

He hasn't been in "signing a new contract" form since…. well, signing a new contract in 2011...

just sayin.... - as much as I love Simona I agree with others that say he's lost a yard of pace, and doesn't seem to have the punch through the line he had even last year.

You never know. Tigers might re-sign him and he'll play well for the next 6 months.

Here come the vultures circling for our juniors.

so you go with a supposed twitter comment and believe it? seriously? I think it's people making mischief. Too much time on their hands.

Simona is a MYTH, 2 good runs his entire career the 2 weakest positions the Tigers have are both centres . Would be very happy if he got on the eels plane.

Got a feeling in 24 hours time this comment will be proven to be ridiculous. If not 24 hrs the upcoming weeks.

My view based on history rather than feelings is it is going to be more of the same from our two reserve grade centres in 2015.

Simona suffers from being a right centre in a team where the dominant half is situated on the left. Majority of our play this year has going left, and as a result we score more tries there. That being considered, Simona hasn't kicked on as nicely as I expected him to. I'd like to see a little more out of him this year before I go hard with the Eels for his services in 2016.

Just read a quote on twitter from Simona basically saying he will take any decent offer from the WT and he wants to stay here.

A lot of our young guys have re-signed or at least want to stay. That's a good, loyal culture. They must really believe in this team.

Simon is solid without being outstanding. He still is fast and pretty good in defence (in one of the hardest positions). He has a good step and footwork. He can play a couple of positions in the backline. Sign him up.

JT is building a team culture which will provide results. Simona is one of the boys and would take a lot for him to leave.

On his form I actually think considering the lack of service he is getting that he is holding his own well ATM

Once JT allows the halves to play and spread Simona will find the attack with ease. He made a line break yesterday and did a great flick pass to Patty with limited chances.

Simona is one of our centers of the future now to work out who plays on the right if it's Nofo or someone new.

So everyone saying to re-sign him, how much would you actually pay him? Any more than 200k is madness. He doesn't score and rarely breaks the lines. Same with Lawrence, if our centres's most outstanding quality is that they hit the ball up well when working out from our line then they're not doing their primary job.

Anyway Parra have that Nathan Smith kid who'll come into first grade this year. Whether he plays fullback, wing or centre the kid will kill it wherever he is.

Nathan Davis?

good player.

Tim Simona is alright, he is a standard NRL centre. If someone chases hard and pays overs, then unlucky, off you go.

Yep Nathan Davis. One of the best young backs in the nyc.

Simona is of 1st grade NRL standard. 200k would be reasonable. You need players of Simona's quality in the squad.
I'm glad players are wanting to play for JT. I always knew JT was a good tactician. It was his man management that I was unsure about.
