Pascoe on Farah & suburban grounds

Bulldogs had a better squad last year - You're kidding aren't you?
With Sam Perrett at Fullback… HAHAHA

If the club intends on giving Leichhardt and Ctown the flick, here's hoping the club give the supporters the heads to allow them to go to games knowing they'll be the last.

True it is something that needs to be announced before the season starts so all supporters get the opportunity to go to their favourite grounds next year. For some of us it is not easy to get to games these days

I am sure i saw something on Nine News last night about a huge upgrade of CTown Stadium and its surrounds.

Can't find a thread for it??

Campbo development? Lol, who's paying for that? Why make an announcement that we've got a pretty picture and some nice ideas but no way of making it happen? Just pr rubbish…

That article reads like an episode of Utopia.

Everything has to start somewhere, an idea…a thought...a dream.

But yeah....its just rubbish. Just like your opinion BB

Article says they have been talking about this for 7-8 years.

Bureaucracy at its awesome best.

- Looks to me 5/6 names you mentioned here were in the squad again this year.
As well as Brett Morris and other notable mentions like Rona, The emergence of Klemmer and Mbye…

Last years Bulldogs squad is not as good as this years. And Ennis wasn't as good last year as he was this year.

Cambo is great….
If only we could get 15-20k there every game, WT's would have no choice but to play there....

Cambo might be great, but the area never seriously got behind the magpies, nor the JV.

Its a bit of a rugby league no-man's land to be honest. The area never got its 'own' side. First they got the magpies who were considered blow ins from the inner west, and then they got the Tigers, another club from the inner west.

So what's the solution? Don't know if there is one.

Just down the Highway Mate?

There is that mate.
But it's actually a great to venue to watch Footy….
Would be great with a big crowd.

Most I've ever seen there is around 14-16

It's a great ground. Shame it never gets the plaudits that LO does. I'll believe a redevelopment when I see it.

It is a joint investment between Wests Leagues and the Campbelltown Council, so one would assume, especially given the mention of apartments, restaurants and gyms, that there would be some capital coming from Wests Leagues. Funding from government would only be required for the upgrade to the stadium. In the past, Campbelltown Council has been able to fund 50/50 with the state or federal government. Oh….and the area has a few marginal seats.

This potential expansion of Wests Campbelltown is not before time. Expansion has been on the cards given their recent acquisitions (local golf clubs) and state of the balance sheet. It has a ridiculously low debt-equity ratio:
