Robbie's idol growing up was Benny Elias. I'm not surprised to see he is shaping into that dastardly mold.
Can't wait until 2019 is over and we finally see the back of this cancer once and for all.

You can go back to worshiping the manchild now.

Take a walk through the Children's Oncology Ward at Prince of Wales Children's Hospital. Perhaps it may convince you not to make light of cancer and its impact on children and the their families.

Please. There’s been enough melodramatics in this thread as it is.

The President of the JT fan bois club arrives. **I'll note you down for a sensitivity workshop.**

You may like to know that there are at least two forum members who have family members suffering with cancer. Well done GNR you are a credit to this forum.

Best line of the off season. Thanks for lightening the mood

What’s JT got to do with anything?

I**’ve lost family members to cancer as well. But I guess this is the world today. Someone’s always offended by something**.

And I would have expected that would alert you to the need to demonstrate some sensitivity?

Good attitude considering the circumstances.
I hope we fight this through the courts.

If Farah acted like an adult and took his removal like a man we wouldn't be in this mess.
He dug in his heels and this deal was probably an act of desperation by Pascoe to just get Farah out.
I've never seen a player so sensitive and demanding. It's embarrassing how that transpired.
Even Sterlo said on one of his shows that it's hard to watch a grown man act this way when a club wants to move you on.
He never grew up, it explains why he isn't married or has a family by now.

If we have to move players on, he would be first out the door.

And here comes the Farah haters.

My god stick to the facts of the issue and discuss it like an adult please.

If you cant do than its not really Farah who has never grown up is it.

Robbie is a germ and so is Sam Ayoub. Nothing will change my opinion.

I don't need to. I've had melanoma and have to be screened every 6 months.
I know how insidious it is and it can always return.
With Robbie we had cut him out but only for it to return like cancer.
If he didn't return to the Tigers would this have been discovered?
I sincerely doubt it.

The day JT walked out of Concord was the day I moved on supporting him. You keep on dragging him back into arguements for some strange reason.
I support the coach no matter who it is. If they gave the job to JT again I'd support him because I want success.

If you don't cheat you don't get punishment.

Sorry to say it but we cheated.

IF our club has cheated, fair enough we need to cop our punishment. But, a big but, is why the double standards by the NRL? Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Greg Inglis all cheated by signing multiple contracts that were unquestionably designed to rort the salary cap- those 3 players would certainly have known that (as would their respective managers) yet were any of them deregistered or sacked by the NRL? Smith gets SOO and Australian captaincy, a gift testimonial game that would of earned him huge $$$$$ and is talked up as being a future Immortal of the NRL. Where is the justice in that? Ditto for the 2 other germs, both played Origin and Test footy AFTER their blatent cheating, earning mega $$$$ as a result of being allowed to play rep footy.
The inequality of punishments handed out for cheating are extraordinary and disgusting.

Bingo!!

Third time Ive posted it, the ARLC has requested much tougher penalties for cap breaches

Requested it from when?
Eels got off with bugger-all punishment 2 years ago. Is the ARLC request post-Eels? The NRL are taking their sweet time deciding on Manly's cap punishment, hope the ARLC's request is enforced upon the Sea Eagles then big-time. Their punishment will confirm one way or the other whether the ARLC's request has been heeded across the board or it's just another poxy dart-throwing exercise by the cowardly NRL.

I hope a fool like you is ready to post a retraction after the appeal.

And on what basis can YOU unequivocally state that this decision by the NRL won't be overturned.

"The club does not know if he is going to take it up and Robbie has not indicated his intention in return".

So unless you take that statement from the club at face value you're obviously implying the club has lied to the NRL and also to its sponsors and members.

You will accept we cheated if the punishment does not get over overturned?

Eels bugger all punishment? They were only stripped of all their points

Also $1mill fine, nines title and prizemoney stripped and 5 director's deregistered.
But the NRL are picking on us.

Eels were hit accordingly I feel. Tough yes, but so it should have been. Sharks have been hit softly for all the crap they have pulled. Manly is still dragging on much too long and is ridiculous. We have been hammered, in a massive over-reaction. At worst we made an error, not a deliberate ploy to cheat the cap, and yet we are being treated like we have been scamming the system for years.

NRL are picking on us. Making an example of us. In an effort to show that they 'are' doing something, when in reality they can't touch the teams that are actually cheating. I say fight the charge, even though we'll probably lose, because it isn't fair and we should not cop it quietly.

Mate, if we cheated we deserve to be punished. The anger and emotion is all about bias. Only an idiot could not see that cap and third party rorting is rampant across the NRL, especially by the currently successful clubs. Why is serious, consistent and detailed investigation of these clubs not apparent. Why?
I’ve followed this game for 50 years and I want the management of the game to be free of bias and supportive of all teams - not just the chosen few!!

A question. If we gel slugged the nearly 700k off our cap what happens if no player leaves and we can't recruit the extra two players? Do we get fined again? Surely not if its the Nrl's doing in the first place.

If we get to the point that we are over the cap when the season starts then we would be playing for no points. I would guess we would also play for no points if we do not have enough players on our squad as we are not meeting the nrl regulations.

Just recently going by the tone of the statement, since the last cases.
Just my interpretation though, it wasnt clear

I agree with a lot of that Steve but there seems to be a lot on here that think we're innocent or have just made a mistake.
Or they want to blame Ayoub, Farah, Gould, Cleary or Taylor.
But the bottom line is and my original point is we cheated, no one else.

Yep - fair enough. I’m struggling to see the link to Ayoub etc. I’m just so angry that it’s us that cops the full force of the law whilst the cocks hold up the trophy with a squad a world team would struggle against!!
