Pascoe sanctioned by the NRL

Really. I’m sure that came into his 2016 750,000 salary that we paid Souths…
Someone should be sacked for failing to do the figures.
You can’t tell me other clubs haven’t done the same?

I'm pretty sure someone will be sacked

Sounds like we promised Robbie an ambassador's role in retirement when he left in 2015.
NRL are trying to include that in our cap.
Nothing too serious, just amateurish.

Who?

Common you gooses concentrate on the true cap cheats in this comp, funny how minor issue are found at the minor clubs while the Bondi brigade and our northern neighbours are left to ply their dirty trade…..makes me sick

I don't understand how this works - how does offering a player, who is leaving, an ambassador role when he retires affect the salary cap.

Obviously and based on your messages I’m thinking it might be someone with a profile.
I mean’t that figuratively. Seriously though you can’t tell me It’s not a tactic by other clubs.
Anyway, fool us for believing that Farah came back on next to no coin for the love of the team. Benji next?

Is that all they have got…..
Jeez they are trying everything to get us.
How can an ambassadors role in 2020 need to be in the cap for 2015?

It's simple….were not the roosters or broncos

Some clubs are expected to walk on eggshells while others sign who they like, when they like and no one in charge bats an eyelid.

Lets hope we are not stripped of 15th place that we earned in 2015.

How does a Rooster supporter offering brown paper bags affect their salary cap? According to the NRL it doesn't. The NRL is run by blind, very rich fools.

Honestly how the heck are we the only club that gets stumped on these things.
Parramatta have Corey Norman on there books at $940000 or something ridiculous have agreed to pay St George a minimum of $250000 for his contract but suddenly have $800000 available to spend of Corey’s money. WTF?

Yeah I'm confused also, it's not like he will be part of the playing roster! Not surprised at all though, the NRL will go to great lengths to find the tiniest little discrepancy within the workings of clubs like ours, while forever turning a blind eye to the dealings of the golden haired clubs.

The only way it could come under salary cap was if his ambassador role was used as an inducement to stay on but on a lower salary - for instance if we were going to pay him 750k but did a deal to pay him 500k with the promise of a 250 k a year job when he retires. I can't think of any other way,

The Tigers should have followed the Sharks example and just 'Self Reported'. Then there are no questions asked and no penalties apply.

My thoughts exactly.

The day the governing body treat all 16 clubs equally . . . . . . .

Cough (corruption) cough

Sam Ayoub warned us around that time he knew of our dirty secrets. He definitely would have known about this one.
