Really. I’m sure that came into his 2016 750,000 salary that we paid Souths…
Someone should be sacked for failing to do the figures.
You can’t tell me other clubs haven’t done the same?

I'm pretty sure someone will be sacked

Who?

The person who organised it. He's supposedly in the firing line.

depressing being a tigers fan never any good luck

Its the Concord Oval curse
West Harbour Rugby has the same bad luck - Compare what happens with them and what happens with Sydney Uni, Randwick and Easts
Its where we play and train, both Wests sides are cursed

The only way it could come under salary cap was if his ambassador role was used as an inducement to stay on but on a lower salary - for instance if we were going to pay him 750k but did a deal to pay him 500k with the promise of a 250 k a year job when he retires. I can't think of any other way,

That's pretty much the crux of the matter. You can't offer post contract guaranteed money. It was always going to be cap liable.

How did the NRL find out - must have been someone with a gripe against the club.

It was pretty common knowledge around the time of his exit from the club, it was part of him accepting the deal at Souths.

Does anyone know how much it is worth?

Who ever is at fault needs to go into hiding like Andrew Gee at the broncos and nothing more will be investigated. You can even come back and sit in the box with the coach.

I actually think Robbie himself mentioned it in a media article mid year when he came over to us. At the time I thought that was incredibly dumb.

Common you gooses concentrate on the true cap cheats in this comp, funny how minor issue are found at the minor clubs while the Bondi brigade and our northern neighbours are left to ply their dirty trade…..makes me sick

The NRL will trumpet this as a proof they are doing a good job, while easts, Brisbane and the like carry on unabated, you are right the NRL make me sick, level playing field my

So it takes 2-3 Years for this to come to light….what is the purpose of auditing each year if things like this is uncovered a few years down the track. Compared to what other clubs do, this seems minor in the scheme of things.

Looks like it may be Pascoe under pressure to keep his job?

I remember him doing so too.

It's a 4 year deal that was supposed to start 2 years after his retirement.
It was offered after the club believed they mistreated him in 2015 only to push him out 12 months later.

Its mentioned in many articles, I wonder why they took so long to hit us with this?

Yoss said bad but not catastrophic.

Losing Pascoe would be catastrophic.

Not if he doesn't know the implications of contracts with players on the salary cap. This is very sloppy.
