Pascoe sanctioned by the NRL

Well we know the salary cap punishment has been lessened/scrapped by them letting us sign Jennings.
You'd have to think Pascoe will be re-instated effective 1 March. He's already served a 2.5 month penalty. Which seems more than enough given the "crime" and pending legal action.
You'd think the fine will be lowered too.

Most times the child is just being a brat and wont accept responsibilty for their actions, looking to blames others.

Hopefully the club just accepts the punishment and moves on, give the coach and the players an actual chance of concentrating on winning for a bloody chance. Tantrums wont get the club anywhere.

Must be kidding. If all the other children are caught doing worse things, but one child cops it for a smaller incident, you think they should just accept it? No, you go to a higher power (ie, Principal) and show them the bias and injustice with evidence, then the teacher is reprimanded or stood down. You're saying victims of injustice should just roll over, just like the bullies want.

Every club that has transgressed more then us have copped harsher penalties than us. This has been shown in facts lots of times in this thread.

Snake I certainly agree 100%, there have been times in the past you have got me riled up but this time full credit to you.

There is a part of me that hopes Friday's outcome is not satisfactory to the Tigers because I want to see Greenberg brought down a lot sooner than later, and it will happen whether it be through actions instigated by us or not.

I also hope the NRL force De Belin to stand down because legally until he is CONVICTED of anything it is his legal right to play. I don't know if he is guilty or innocent and neither does anyone else on this forum. Let him have his day in court.

I also hope there is more to the Flanagan stink than has been reported and he also decides to go to court.

I have said numerous times that if one looks at Greenberg's tenure as NRL CEO 90% of the publicity churned out has been NEGATIVE. It is too late for him to turn it around. 1- The job was always beyond his capabilities. 2- He allowed himself through his previous connection with the game to become nothing more than a puppet for powerful connections in the game.

If words used by the club previously, they're more than happy to take this to court. Whether or not the clubs stance has changed, who knows. We'll find out soon enough.

Lets hope for a positive outcome, if not I hope you are right and we get Brydens and take them head on, it is about time someone stood up to these blokes, the untouchables carry on unabated, and the lesser likes like our team get belted all over the place.

Can't we just tear the contract up and remove the cap penalty? Sure, monetary penalty and maybe pascoe on the sideline for a tiny bit for admin issues. But if the payment won't ultimately be made, that should reinstate the cap. There can't be an argument there.

For those reasons I think the problems begin and end with Beattie. Greenberg is just his mouthpiece. He reads off notes, and repeats the same one-liners as if he has never had an original thought of his own. Puppet is a perfect description.

That is his job, to follow through with the boards plans

Wouldn't that be admitting guilt?

Based on Robbie's comments recently, I think he would be happy for this mess to go away. He knows he'll always be employable at the club in the future, like other greats in other clubs that didn't have a pre-emptive contract.

From reports, it’s only signed by the Tigers, not Robbie. From reports…

Ok I get you now, then it comes back to the reason that it wasn't signed by Robbie. Really this whole thing comes down to the reason why it was left unsigned.
