Paseka Released

Yes if he asked for a release and it was granted that's ridiculous. Manly will just take any player from us they like and we've shown we'll just let them. Crazy if true.

Get the don't release if asked stance but we have no idea what occured.

We may of reviewed all signings under Taylor & with him leaving viewed the coin he was on we deemed to be better served on someone else.

It could have been a performance issue as well.

Yet it wouldnt surprise me if we said yes and am paying most of his contract for the next 10yrs…

Dont understand this if true. The 20's are outgunned midgets and that won't change this season. Paseka is the only big unit there and against the Storm, the only forward capable of making busts. His defence is nothing great but he is a very big guy with undoubted potential. The half back is the only other player there who even looks up to 20's standard. These two , and Papenhuzen are probably the only three worth keeping. I don't follow this decision ( like many others) at all.

Papz has already signed elsewhere (Melbourne) for next season.

What's this about the mainly sea gulls? Stealing our chips again, we're this from? Surely we haven't let him go? Ni d you couldn't blame him as his team is getting pumped every week…
Well done scarecrow, top effort.

Taylor is gone …I don't think current management would listen to him on player retention or release do you...?

Sorry geo, I meant that the scarecrow has run down all three grades in his tenure. Making pesaka play in a team of midgets who are getting pumped every week is his fault he was pulling the strings!
Also wasn't pesaka in our top 25 he should be in our state cup team learning his trade against men not boys.
In come the seagulls swooping in on our chips, offering obviously a chance at first grade. He's a beast hits hard runs hard, obviously bozos onto it!!
How could we let him go…

I believe Bozo is nearly gone or gone, so he is not onto anything.

If this is true I really don't understand it at all. We have minimal depth as it is and have absolutely nothing to gain for doing this.
The only logical reason I can think of is he had a clause in his contract if the coach was sacked, but even still his contract extended beyond Taylor's anyway.
I realise he is untested, but it makes zero sense to release him given our depth.

On the face of it, just seems crazy. It would have been very interesting being a fly on the wall when this decision was made.

Can someone call Marina Go and find out if it's true or not?
Don't worry - I'm sure she wouldn't have a clue.

She said she rang Rob Walton and he said he has no idea what's happening.

Perhaps the other young props such as JJ, Junior Tatola and Thomas Mikaele were considered better prospects at lower cost?

Was looking forward to the year where we don't pay anyone to play elsewhere..

You referring to Paseka? Nobody who asks for a release gets paid out, only those that the club intentionally moves on.

Will be announced this week he is joining Manly

With a swap for Brenton Lawrence or Jake Trbojevic ??

We are a rabble sadly. We are odds on to lose the 4 and Cleary to pass on the job also.
I have zero faith Paseka has all the tools why on earth would we release him. Same with Pap chances are Teddy leaves he is next in line.

First of all, where are you getting this information that Paseka has been released?

Secondly, multiple sources are claiming Cleary has already signed.

Lastly, I believe that we will keep at least 2-3 of the 'big four.'

There has to be a bit of a wrinkle to this. Perhaps they have agreed to take on Lawrence's contract in exchange for releasing Paseka to them.
