Paterson, Gavet and Taupau

Guessing with Sirro's injury all three will be picked Round 1 along with Ava on the bench

Size ,speed and power coming off the bench will be the key for the Tigers in 2014

Bodene looks like he's lost some weight

And wearing 3 or 4? Looking to move back to the centres maybe?

Saw some stats during the week that suggests he's heavier - 107kg Vs 105kg from last year.

Defence from 9s isn't much to go by - they are all knackered and the defensive patterns are all different for the extra space / ball movement.

Gavets always been highly rated, just been stuck behind some fantastic prop rotations. Then the injury last year.

He is a lot bigger then last year, is extremely fast for his size yet also seems to have a bit of ball skill. Wonder if he may have pipped Ava and Buchanan in the pecking order for a bench spot.

I thought he looked leaner as well,
Probably less fat, more muscle !

All three of them look the goods.
Gavet runs like a mad mad.
Taupau looks like a straight up gangsta.
and Patterson was all class, so tall and looks like he has really good ball handling.

Our full strength back line is classy as also but the pack is looking tougher than ever.
In for a good year !

They all stood out this weekend, really excited about Patto

Great to have some big men that can bend the line but from day one of the joint venture defense has been our Achilles heel. So I hope they can defend with the same gusto and also defend with some reliability. Time will tell, but if this team fails to deliver it will be the defense that will bring them undone, but in saying that having some big blokes ripping and tearing in attack will have a flow on effect for the defensive efforts of the team.

I'd like to see them over 80 minutes before I pass judgement.

Eddy Pettybourne had a barnstorming first game or two before falling away.

Please excuse the edit.

Love it, the crowd gets pumped and points usually follow. Sadly, it has basically been non-existent since Ellis first hurt his ankle
