Watched the KOE cup game last night, as a replay, was impressed with Malapalingi, his general direction in guiding the Team, but also backing up and extra effort in defence, also Luke Jack, not much of him but a goer. On another note, they kept on showing Galvin on the sideline with his man crusch Luke Vella, it was cringey.

Mapz is a must keep

Offers versatility & x-factor. Is evident he's just settling into the 5/8 role and hopefully a breakout game is coming. Can play 5/8, centre, fullback & wing. Pretty quick, elusive, pretty good in the air, backs up and has a nice deft passing game.

I rate him, he has a lot to offer.

He's a bit of an unknown for the casuals but I think top 30 awaits and he won't let anyone down.

The club has recruited well to get him. I like the smart recruitment strategy the club now has in place.
Same. I like the signings this season of Tu'itupou, Mapapalangi, Falls, Rahme, Taateo, El Zakhem, Hope & Murray. I think all of them can see the lure of another contract whether top 30, T&T or Dev with our club if they kill it this season in Cup.

It's interesting they are developing both Mason and Mapa as halves, preferring Luke Laulilii as fb. I wonder if it is Luke L they see as the best fullback of the 3 and therefore next man up if Bula goes down?

I know there are a number of fullbacks coming through that are 18 months/2 years off competing for a first grade spot but the depth there currently is interesting.

Got Lobb filling in as fullback this week too 😂

I'm a fan of Luke.
Lot to like about his game.

A few smaller fullbacks popping up this year with Grey, Kini and Tuapiki.

Will do a mid-season summary of some of our well-performed NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg players this week.

Out of interest from other regular watchers, who do you think are 1 or 2 players in either grade who could 'jump out of the ground' in the 2nd half of the season and put their hand up for one of the 2 remaining development contracts next season, a train or trial or potentially top 30?

I'll put forward 21yo wing/fullback Tino Tavana & 20yo centre Max Taotua.
