Apparently he was dealing with his illness privately, and if that was his choice, then he is entitled to do that. It's his decision.
It's just another case of the Telegraphs no 1 Germ using anything that he can to get his grubby claws on a headline.
Yeah, living it up while on holidays in Hawaii and getting royally smashed on happy hour cocktails with the likes of Pearce and co. is a great way of dealing with his so called depression is'nt it :unamused:
That's a very ignorant statement. People deal with depression in different ways, it's not black and white. Personally, travel is the best way to deal with any issues I have and to imply he doesn't have depression because he's out drinking and partying is an extremely childish interpretation of the situation.

I think you are missing the real point. What brought about his $50K fine is not whether or not Gallen has depression. There are thousands of people in NSW suffering different extremes of depression daily in some form or other and I very much feel for them. What brought about the fine was the extremely obscene manner in which he used a very public forum such as Twitter to describe NRL executives . The NRL took into account that as NSW captain he was negligent in meeting the duties of his position. He was therefore deemed guilty of bringing the game of rugby league into disrepute.
