Payten to blame?

If I was Potter and was given an extension there is no way I'd keep Payten on the coaching staff.

So what if Payten want the top job. I want him there. He got these kids into first grade not Potter. I want a tiger in the top job not some blow in that doesn't know how we should play. Potter is walking the Green mile….

Unfortunately for Todd his actions will probably cost him an Asst gig anywhere else in the NRL. I thought he had the makings of a good Coach but he's gone about this the wrong way. Should've just bided his time like Arthur and McGregor

There have been several reports today that Payten has been both undermining Potter and chasing his job so Openly and aggressively that he has lost the support of everyone including the Board and that his postion is now untenable.

Was he missing at the game on the weekend? I remember seeing Potter & Kidwell multiple times but I dont remember seeing Todd?

I thought Kidwell and Payten were both with the squad as they were warming up at the northern end on Sunday? I saw Potter on the sidelines as well during that period, which is something I don't recall seeing before, but, I may just have not noticed it before.

Can somebody tell me who is the greying, balding, quite fit looking guy who always seems to be with Mick Potter? He was with him at the members' day and he was standing with him on the sidelines on Sunday as well. He was in corporate Tigers' gear so he must be employed in some capacity. Who is he? What does he do? It's not Mayer,…I know what he looks like.

I thought it was Webster the NYC coach. He has two roles on the WT website: NYC coach and NRL assistant.

I've got no doubt Payten is pushing his case for the Coaching job , behind the scenes he would be letting the appropriate people know of his desire .

I think you will find that Payten sits on the sideline with the players whilst Kidwell and Potter sit in the box.
