9-2 to eels in first 70 minutes. Then finishing at 10-8 after the game is too far out of reach, to make it look like it was even.

I was close. Penalties ended up 8-2 to Eels. No make-up penalties for us at end though.

Brown's crusher was actually funny.
Forget the wrestle, we need an acting coach.

It was an absolute joke and he milked a penalty without doubt
He should be suspended for it
We dont want our game do end up like soccer
I can't stand it when players milk penalties

Also at one stage Doueihi wanted to challenge a call and the ref said it was to late
I thought he asked well before the 26 seconds they gave against us in a previous game

What standards do the refs use when refereeing our games

When you win a few mate the refs change.
They use expectation to fill the gaps in what they see, like all humans.

**It's up to us to change it through performances over a sustained period.**

Agree on the diving though, we cop it every week.

Sorry but no! It’s up to the refs to actually observe what is happening on the field and officiate the games fairly, regardless of who is playing who or how many games a team has won. That’s what they’re trained for, that’s what they’re paid for.

I don't think they're capable mate.
All teams with a negative reputation go through this imo.

That goes without saying.
We're lucky our home game was in NSW

If they’re aren’t capable then out they go! The referee ranks need a good clean out and they need to bring in people who are capable of officiating fairly - it’s not bloody rocket science!

I didn’t realise that we had a negative reputation! How did we get that?

I don't mean discipline wise, I mean in terms of being good or crap.

Obviously there is no arguing with your comments, but being realistic I think we (as a club, not just fans) have to assume it will get worse before it gets better.

In 2011 and 2012 and I actually thought the refs favored us and I knew we would pay for that. Didn't expect it to last 8 years.

we were killed off by Sutton tonight. the short drop out where Mahoney clearly had zero control of the ball wasn't called a knock on, and then Sivo scores in the corner to blow the scoreline out. throw in a horrendous penalty count and no 6 again calls in crucial moments and we were in some trouble.

In a perfect world but it's unfairly not that way.

And the man of the match ?

If We start to dominate in defence we don't need to hold down longer and the 6 mores against us will disappear.... There are reasons why we're pinged heavily.... This victim mentality attitude here isn't good

We were always going to get slammed in the second half. We were down to one man on the bench with what 20-25 minutes to go? We were already two down pretty much at half time.

Fatigue creeps in and ruck infringements will occur and errors are made in attack. We were up against it when Doueihi left the field. That broke our back.

I'm happy with the performance they put in, despite the circumstances.

That’s a fair point but my gripe is less about the ones that go against us and more the ones we don’t get.

There were several clear penalties last night against us and we got nothing. It seems to be an ongoing thing where we just don’t get the calls. Even when we were totally dominant like last week we got very few.

Yes this ^^^ exactly!

Can accept the ones that go against us, but how about reffing the other team as well! They all seem to turn into bloody angels that can do no wrong when they play against us. No team is that perfect.

Yeah.. Agree with you... It is confusing and very inconsistent

The refs just arent that good at their job.

They are all influenced by the momentum of the game. If a team has momentum they get all the calls. especially the favoured team.

Its an easy way out for the refs and imo the biggest issue facing the game.

Nothing kills my interest in a game more then seeing the refs favour momentum.

Blow the whole thing up and start again. Instruct the refs to simply call what they see. Only call what they actually not see not what they think they see.

Its a mess.

i saw several crusher type tackles from the Eels last night that we never got a penalty from .. !! The Eels got penalties the moment they were tackled then put their hand on their head to indicate a crusher tackle .. pathetic Slimies .. they conned the ref everytime .. !!

They layed all over us in the tackles and held us down a lot longer than what we did when we were tackling / defending .. !! And Jnr Paulo should have been penailsed for not getting to his feet when playing the ball .. he basically fell over under his own weight and they got a penalty for us not clearing the ruck .. rubbish .. penalty should have went the other way .. !!
