Mats looks cooked. Has had a couple of good games this year. If playing in NZ won't fire him up then I don't know what will. Should be spending some time in ISP.

So looking at the Foxsports stats, quite frankly our forwards sucked. We lost the ruck early, lost the possession and made buggerall metres. Our front row and backrow stats are rubbish.

Team stats:

Possession: 43%
Completion rate: 65% (22/34) - Very poor - we had been leading the comp at 80%
All runs: 136 (183)
All run metres: 1206 (1779) - We got bent bigtime
Post contact metres: 418 (601)
Line breaks: 2 (9)
Tackle breaks: 33 (43)
Av. set distance: 35.5 (39.5)
Av. play the ball speed: 3.57s (3.67s) - surprising we won this
Forced drop outs: 0 (3)
Effective tackles: 84.3% (82.5%)
Missed tackles: 46 (33)
Errors: 16 (7)
Penalties: 11 (11)

If tui made those meters in attack he would get hooked.

I think we really missed Lawrence. It is often him and the wingers that do the dirty hit ups on early tackles before our powder puff forwards chime and make metres against a defence going backwards.

We are going one out and are very predictable. There are not multiple players in motion to create uncertainty in the defence. There is one player to target, get 4 on him and slow the play the ball & allow defence to set. Repeat x3.

Well said

Lawrence is a bigger loss then Packer. I knew as soon as he wasn't returning from the HIA we would struggle big time.
