This is going to blow your mind yoss - but I actually voted for Rudd.

That's a bit too much for me to take in on a Saturday afternoon. Consider my mind blown! 😱pen_mouth:

I'd like to change my opinion I think Rudd may have a lot more support than I originally thought

Albanese has switched camps Thats a biggie

It's funny that we now have the hard and soft NSW left lining up behind Rudd and the bulk of the NSW Right/CU backing Gillard.

I can't believe that the Liberals are holding onto Abbott, they should be SO much further ahead against this lot.

I hope that Turnbull gets into power sometime soon.

gee hammer abbott seen off turnbull then he seen off rudd he beat gillard only the so called independant and greens gave gillard power now his got gillard on the run what more do you want the man to do. fair suck of the sauce bottle mate :rant :rant

Yeah i thought you were a bit off base with your original estimates.

Rudd isnt stupid, he has been planning and biding his time for this opportunity that he himself initiated. Gillard was forced into this decision by Rudds actions of late. I sincerley believe he has her by the balls.

The figures people are quoting are largely based off 18 month old, outdated data and some assurances from key frontbenchers.

Rudd doesnt want these people in his cabinet as they all backstabbed him in 2010\. He has been working on the majority who were swayed by these 'ring leaders' last time. If he hasnt the numbers I would be truly surprised ….however the man does have an enormous ego.....maybe he has over-estimated his own worth?

:roll

Well, like I said, he did copy Howards policies, and I wanted the PM to apologize to the Indigenous people. So he got my vote.

Didn't realize how much of our hard earned money would be put into dodgy contractors pockets because of that!!

haha, fair suck of the sauce bottle? I like it. Yeah, but from the recent polling, Rudd would be back in front of Abbott if he gets in.

I don't think you can give Abbott the credit mate, Labor has self imploded and Turnbull signed his own death warrant with a silly move.

God knows Abbott has had plenty of fuel!! I would love to know where we would be with Turnbull or Costello in power. I don't think Labor would be in double digits.

You just need to look at the rising vote of the Greens to indicate how much people dislike Abbott. They can't bring themselves to vote for him… and that's a problem.

Remember the polls when turnbull was in he was basically a liberal version of labor . The party was dying when he was in control liberal supporters were screaming house down , think its hard for him being in wentworth electorate he has to read from the climate change bible and support gay marriage or he wouldnt last in his electorate . Then he starts alienating all the other lib/national electorates that have no interest in c change and gay marriage . He has to represent a certain demographic and when tony abbott doesnt have to represent that type of electorate look what happened in the polls libs just kept going up . I rmember when alot of commentators said the libs must continue supporting climate chamge or they will be a doomed party turnbull said that to he thinks that he was UK David cameron trying to be evrything to every1 . Dont think abbott is the greatest but he doesnt have much competition with labor pollies.

My only worry out of all this is that people will vote greens because they are suck and tired of the 2 major parties. Heaven help us all if the greens get complete control of the government.

U sometimes get the feeling the Greens Movement are standing on the dock at Christmas island with how to vote cards ! or am i just cynical . When Sarah Hanson Young says she would rather send a navy boat to indonesia to pick them up continually u have to wonder all these ppl are driven by is votes nothing else ,dont be fooled by the humanity they say and think alot different to wat they say on television .

Whatever happens on Monday, I think it's safe to say, Labor's predicament is irreparable. Divided caucus, conceptions over the Carbon Tax (true or untrue), bad polling and reneging on Asylum Seeker policies haven't helped the cause. Personally, I think to limit the damage, K.Rudd should be installed as leader. Prolonged polling has shown he is far more popular with the people than J.Gillard, which is ultimately what matters at the end of the day. Support from the caucus isn't what wins you elections at the end of the day, support from the people does.

Marginal ALP seat-holders, in order to retain their jobs, should vote K.Rudd to at least give themselves a chance.

If the only issue were economic 'refugees' Labor would still lose in a landslide. Rightly or wrongly, it's the issue that generates the most emotion

Pick a number Stryker (or anyone else) How many votes you reckon Rudd'y will get

I'll stick with my original 35 guess

Oh well. Looks like I am taking the fine at the next election. Wont vote for either party under their currnet heads

Quite surprising Rudd played this hand without any picture cards…really thought he had more suopport for him to initiate this spill....goodbye Krudd....looking forward to his teary speech.

That is a flogging.

Did he go to Caucus knowing he was going to lose as a prelude to something else? He must have known he didnt have the numbers. He couldnt be that stupid.

ergh… Gillard wins... there goes any hope of Labor winning the next election... FMD.

Its NSW State Labor all over again. :brick:

This also means unless Tony Abbott is caught on camera with Hitler taking a steaming dump on the Australian Flag right on the lawns of Parliament House while punching a Kanagroo in the face, he'll be our next Prime Minister at the next election...

Regardless of who is the leader of these parties, we must vote for someone at the next election and that is what keeps these monkeys in office… So sadely, 80% of Australians are gona vote left or right, and we will again be left with 20% of this countries population deciding who runs the country. :crazy

Time to overhaul the whole Electoral process... Lets start with abolishing Compulsary Voting!!! :brick:

Or we could act like we are in Egypt??? :smiling_imp:
