Seriously Jedi, you often contribute and add something tangible to footy discussion and like me, have strong political views. Thing is you add basically nothing in the political debate, with slogans about the extent of your contribution.

I asked a question of you earlier without response, but will try again. If you are trying to get others to vote for the incumbents, please explain the positive reasoning for them getting your vote?
Sorry FG I didn't see your message you sent the other day
in relation to coalition I think they have done a good job given pandemic and the French sub deal getting australia out of that was a bad Turnbull and Pyne deal to begin with so good work with Aukus.
Not a fan of the greens and the Teal independents kind of hope if Labor get in then they get in or likewise coalition gets elected they don't have to do deals with greens, teal independents, one nation and UAP to govern as it may well be a trainwreck.
Do think the coalition scrapes home times of uncertainty stick with incumbency and yes we are in a deficit however extraordinary circumstances with covid and job keeper payments etc have basically landed us in this spot and either Labor or liberal would be in this spot regardless.
Overall the Labor team is still the same who got rolled with Shorten at the head, still has Chalmers Wong, Keneally Bourke and the like. Don't sense that same shift that happend with Rudd in 07 against Howard
Will be very close election, Josh F may be in trouble do think coalition can win a few in Qld and think Tim Wilson just hangs on he needs a 7.6% swing against him.
I do fear a hung parliament though this woukd be a shocking outcome for the country as the lunatics of Greens and UAP and One Nation become King makers God help us all.

Thanks. No doubt you will be unsurprised that I don't agree with most of it, but I genuinely like to see the perspective of others and their reasoning.

As I have written before, the Liberals lost a shot at my vote two weeks prior to 9/11 and for mine they are about to lose most, if not all and more of those in that 7.6% margin you referred to.

I see a party with a choice of either representing the name of the party or going with the strong right leading power base. Things having moved past a 'broad church' being run by evangelical pastor types.

This nailed it!

As someone who lost their job due to covid and got a job I thought everything would be fine now I've got work. In 5 months I've had one shift just cause you get work doesn't mean you're gonna get to work if it wasn't for welfare payments I would have nothing and most weeks I'm broke welfare payments should be increased with inflation

Sorry mate, the money train needs to stop because people were fortunate enough to keep their jobs and didn't get a "handout."

no job keeper before pandemic and vaccines so not sure what you are talking about.
As far as the french subs go that was a bad idea thanks Malcolm Turnbull but he is showing his true colours and they rectified that by scrapping the deal.

Nah Jedi, can't get away as easy as that. Read what you wrote and get back to me.

the coalition needs to get back to hard right and they will regain the one nation and UAP voters, the bulk of people voting for one nation and UAP are not Labor or Green voters anyway the Libs lost the way when turnbull tried to stuff the party from within. He almost lost the un losable election
The Libs have let in many moderates and they need to sort that out as it is the Sharma type of liberal who will lose to an independent at the election.
Libs if they lose will fix up the moderates in the party and bring the one nation and UAP vote back to the coalition next time
It should clear the deck for a Dutton to take over if frydenberg loses his seat at election

all the best at the election

The Liberals were in fact liberal not conservative.

as previously posted jobkeeper was after pandemic so no idea what you are talking about and not criticising it as it was needed to keep jobs and people afloat during difficult times.
Again though no point trying to change a la or voters minds it is made up likewise the Libs

Raining yet again. From the sky and crap pouring out of Morrison's mouth.

Hard to fathom that the same guy with "the politics of envy" line is out there today yapping that it is lunacy to state that our lowest paid workers should get a wage rise to enable them to keep a roof over their head and food in their stomachs. Especially so when their actual living costs increases are likely double the official rate.

He can't slag of refugees or Muslims to the same extent anymore in appealing to the lowest common denominator in the community (mainly males) for votes. Instead he has resorted to a discrimination bill, lying about gender surgery of minors with a hand grenade candidate, in a bizarre attempt to attract Muslim and other religious votes in outer electorates, particularly Parramatta.

History will show Morrison as our worst modern PM and his government as a whole similarly.
Not a chance.
Gillard and Rudd were worse.
