How dare players be against.... racism? What’s political about wanting everyone to be treated fairly, that’s all it was about.
What’s the point of protesting if the people youre trying to engage have no idea why you’re protesting ? Which is the case here. I keep hearing this “400 indigenous men have died in custody” argument “ . Which is true . Except when you put it in proportion to the amount of people who died in custody , it almost exactly is proportionate to the % of indigenous people incarcerated . Something like 28%.
So in actuality, there’s no evidence that supports “the racist oppressors” narrative . Because if there was , there’d be a disproportionate jump of deaths to incarcerated . But there isn’t .
I’m not saying that we don’t have a racism issue in this country .
But that’s not what this rally is about . It’s about police brutality to dark skin folk .
But show me how it isn’t just police being brutal to lower socioeconomic people , which are the vast % of people in the system
Everyone knows what they’re taking a knee for, it’s pretty global news at the moment. I don’t understand how people being against racism is an issue even if some people are following a trend, it’s not just about the police it’s about racism in general
Anyway I don’t want to get into politics. I just can’t fathom why anyone thinks being against racism and wanting everyone to be treated fair is an issue in any way.
