Poor Crowd again!

We played panthers? They battling for the spoon.. Not everyone is going to show lol ..
Chances are other clubs in Sydney would've had the same amount if they played them last night to..

There are some inescapable facts

1) Whether it was C'Town, Leichhardt or the SFS that was a poor crowd

2) It is imperative that the Club engage and connect with people in the McCarthur district much more enthusiastically than they appear to be.

3) This area is critical to the Clubs success because of the continuous flow of good players. Sad to say that we can't rely on Wanderers or Balmain coppers to supply first graders these days

Wests tigers are not perceived as a local team end of story. Players wanking on incessantly about LO does the club no favours.

It would be nice if the players could show the same enthusiasm about playing at C-town that they show for Leichardt. It feels as though they see it as a chore to play at C-town

Campbelltown Wests Tigers Fans are just not turning up to support the team…only 12,500 fans last night on the back of a disappointing attendance the last time the team played there. This despite the game being heavily promoted and many tickets given away.

I think the fans in the area need to make a stand whether they want the WT team to play out of Campbelltown or not....If these poor crowd figures continue I wouldn't blame the club if they pulled stumps from the west... :sign:

Surprised it took you so to start this thread Alexaki.
What makes you say the Campbelltown fans aren't showing up. I've noticed by reading all these other posts regarding the Panthers game that quite a few fans from forum didn't attend the game either. There are a lot of referrals to commentator comments and opinions that you just don't get at the game.
So please don't just blame the people of Campbelltown

It was not my intention to start an us vs them thread…I just think our team is not supported as well as it should be when we play games at Campbelltown... if the same numbers were had at the SFS or Leichhardt i'd be saying the same thing...our Leichhardt attendances this year have been great and apart from the last game at the SFS where we attracted only 20K the attendances there have been healthy...I really feel on a weather perfect Saturday night we should've gotten more people attend the game. Does it say we have lost the crowd at Campbelltown?...if it continues to trend downwards I have to say yes.

Regardless of any excuses, 12000 was a poor crowd. Last time it was that we we were playing the Cowboys, and thats why we only got 13k on a sunny sunday arvo. I think NRL crowds are down this year (no stats to prove it), but even with crowds down id expect 15 last night.

Any Sunny sunday afternoon game in my opinion should draw minimum 16.

What's perfect about 6 degrees with a breeze off the snowies?

Almost dead level.

After R18 2011: Season total - 2,078,375 average 16,237

After R18 2012: Season total - 2,087,730 average 16,310

A good advertisment for Sunday arvo footy is that the DragQueens who get smaller attendances than us have just posted a crowd just shy of 19 000, the game against the Panthers should have been played today and why they played last night at 7.30 and there were 2 X 5.30 games is yet another mystery.

I think it was a poor crowd. I also think we should average 15k+ at all games. I'm not going to point the finger at the MacArthur district though but at the Wests Tigers club and it's so called supporters.

The GA ticket for an adult has increased from approx $18 to $25 and now $30\. I can't see how this is justified when the ground hasn't sold out over the years. Also, why aren't these games promoted as much as those at the other venues. Does the administration of the club actually want bigger crowds at Campbelltown ? What are they doing to rectify this ?

Also a majority of so called Wests Tigers fans are bandwagoners. The biggest in the NRL!

lol… SFS average for our games this year are 20'732.

In 2011 it averaged 23'118...

19000 there last week watto, about 7000 odd were dogs fans

Cold evening. I forgot my jumper. Went to the merchandise tent. Nothing anywhere near my size. The win made the cold feel less prevalent.

I predicted we would see our first sub 10k crowd in years so was pleasantly suprised in that respect.

Reality is that Penrith and the macarthur are some of the most stretched budgets in the Sydney basin per capita with mortgage payments eating up a massive percentage of household income. Add to that the fact the tickets price alot of people out of the area, Panthers fans don't travel, a big whack of people in the Macarthur and Penrith regions have Pay TV to have access to the football and they generally have a friend or two over and that taking kids to a night game is a big expense because they will need hot food at one point and that is expensive.

I like that the club are asking the questions of fans as to why they were not going to the game and about improvements to memberships. The real test will be how they implement any strategies because the entire Wests Tigers fan base needs to be energized about all of our home games

Look at today's crowd at WIN…full house and that would be the same if they played at Oki Stadium or whatever its called. I think it maybe time the WT culled their home grounds to one to two grounds rather than 3 as they have today...The club is confused and so are the fans...there is not the engagement between the club and the fans that there should be.

The more grounds you have, the more convenient you make it for individuals that are prone to only patronising one ground, or one or two.

Ive been to Cambo twice, this year, LO once and SFS three times….**my membership I chose made it easy for me to exclude two of our grounds.**
The club is partly to blame

Love your us vs them attitude Alex.

Yeah was thinking the same thing! I thought we were all Wests Tigers supporters no matter where we lived. I'd imagine everyone who attends Leichhardt Oval, and all the away games, would want to attend Campbelltown games as well. I didn't realise we had 2 different streams of supporters :unamused:

Three actually. The 66% that only go to LO. The 30% that go to all three. And the 4% that go to CS only.
