There is a reason why no league fullback was signed for 2012 and why grant was only signed for 1 season

nice!

And how many players will we need to let go to sign this person in question (Dugan I'm guessing we are talking about ,right)

I thought the plan was to bring Tedesco in over the next 2 years. He's not unlike a young Billy Slater now with his speed, support play and ability to break the line.

I would love Massey or the Fish in the 1, jersay, but find it unlikely.
Omar Salemnki from the warriors is also an outstanding prospect that would like great in the TIgers fullback jersey.

i spose if going to be this "hopeful" i might as go all the way, how about Billy Slater

If we were to sign Omar it would open up a whole new fan base for us as he is the Only Afghani refugee to adapt to our great game, with all the arrivals from this War Torn country he would be a great Ambassador to convert the Afghanis to our game considering we seem to have missed out on the Somali's.
Billy Slater would be a terrific accquisition but, despite Harry wanting him Brian Waldron is not the CEO.

Think about it moltzen McKinnon mullayney let go meany on the outer we sign a union fullback on a 1 year deal and Lui set to be gone either this year or next…. We are making a play for a high profile fullback .... Of course this is just an "assumption" of course

Grant is signed for one year because he is one of those risky type signings that probably is only a fifty fifty bet to succeed at league, I think we will have a shot at Dugan along with half a dozen other clubs and the cap space will be made available by Lote hanging up his boots at the end of 2012 or going o/s. I also think we will go all out to extend Lui's contract, but the lure of the tropics might be to much for the kid

Hhmmmmmm…. Beer, Turtle and Coconuts

Reddy, Brown or Grant will be there next year, and they'll all get a shot. If Grant comes off he'll be a great signing; certainly has the natural ability. Was a poor decision maker atbtimes in rugby, which is why he wasn't signed by a Super team. Remains to be seen if he can make better decisions in League. Let's hope so!

I always liked Reddy - think he could be a terrific signing.

When you say "no league fullback was signed for 2012" are you suggesting the player you are referring to may come from union or even AFL??

Grant may show attributes of a good footballer in the Shute Shield but having played second grade at Eastwood and being opposed against Grant in team runs there is a big gap between that and first grade. He definitely has speed and a nack for the tryline butif people think he will be our fullback saviour there is something wrong. Give the kid a break and let him prove his worth through NSW Cup. Reddy has played city country and yet Grant is a better option???

Plus Grant is not even a starting fullback at Eastwood, plays wing and has done for the last 2/3 years

There is a story on grant in RLW,he says he is a winger, and is going to play on the wing like his uncle,he is a 103kg 6 foot 2 winger,he could be a gem for us.
Maybe we are going to bring Tedesco in as a centre if we get this prize fullback, although he gets hurt a lot so Reddy and Tedesco will be good cover at fullback.

I thought we were getting Vidot Gun ??

Beau Ryan is still the forgotten man
With the way he has played the last month is no one tempted to give him another run at fullback ??

Yes, I would.

ok some guy who calls people "buddy" told me to post here, again.

but I think we should update this discussion with Tom Humble now in the fold. At this stage it's very much looking like beau ryan still, unless they make some dramatic inter-season signing, which I doubt they can do after that inexplicably massive splurge on a certain 30 year-old prop, and they've already let moltzen go because they couldn't afford him. Humble is a 'utility', which basically means he's not very good at anything in particular and he'll probably only see game time when someone's injured (although that worked out pretty well for moltzen). They might bring somebody in from the reserve grades but I imagine he wont be their permanent fixture.

Adam Blair is 25.
TBF, Matthew Bell is 30\. But he's not a prop. And "massive splurge"?
