Potter did himself no favours tonight

I've been in full support of Mick all year, and it seems a lot of people have, given the fan backlash the other week at the rumours he would be sacked. However, he's let a lot of these fans down tonight.

His insistence on picking Marshall has to stop after this. He was as awful as he could ever be. Why hasn't Potter forced a change and made Anasta kick for touch? I'd love to know the record for most missed touch finding kicks in a season. By my count that was Benj's fifth this year. It'd be close to a record, simply for the fact that surely any coach would make a change after the player's second or third error doing this. Marshall just KILLS momentum. It must be so demoralising for the team to get the ball in the attacking 30 or just finally get the ball back, only for Benji to make another ill-advised decision and turn it over.

What has Iosefa ever done to earn a recall? Look, Luani hasn't shown much, but in the short time Masada was on he missed a ton of tackles and offered zero direction around the park. Do yourself a favour Mick and don't ever pick this bloke again. He's been rubbish in 80% of the time he's played first grade and has been involved in a number of our blow out losses over the last two seasons.

Consistently picking underperforming players is to blame for tonight's shellacking. Scream second tier cap all you want but no one's listening anymore. Shift players around. Drop players to the bench. Hook guys who aren't putting in mentally and physically. **Assert your dominance as a coach.**

Some of you will say "I was saying he should drop (insert player's name here) back in Round 6" or whatever. You're right. You should feel vindicated. Just when Potter looked like he'd had his neck saved, it's right back on the chopping block.

He picks Anasta at half, benches Sironen, makes Marshall the captain and drops Buchanan for Iosefa. It really starts to make you wonder…

No one else except anasta.
Siro is injured, cant play 80min.
Marshall being captain, that was probably the tipping point of the game. If fulton had the © next to his name we probably woulda beaten em on golden point.
Luani can't play 80min against the chooks, good move. With hindsight, you can critique everything.

Right Fraze? Unless he's trying to illustrate just how little he has to work with, in which case he's doing brilliantly, he's got me scratching my head.

Siro has a minutes restriction due to injury fyi

I think the opposite. This game has given Mick Potter the indisputable right to drop him next week. It won't be his fault it won't be the clubs.Potter knew Benji wasn't up to it. This game gives Potter the right to drop who he needs to.

He's inherited the roster, but some of the decisions he has made are near inexcusable.
If Sironen is injured why play him at all? That's another dumb move if it's true given his history of injuries. Why risk doing further damage to his body when we're stuck at the foot of the ladder. Same with Luani, if the bloke can't play 80 due to injury then why play him in the first place?
I'm all for Potter getting a fair go, but by gee he is making it incredibly hard to defend him.

Potter must be down to bare minimums as far as the playing roster goes especially in particular positions

Funny how the guys who aren't putting in are the ones still healthy (bar Fulton)

Fair argument Tiger but surely he's had that right for weeks, or at least after Marshall's publicity stunt for the Blues?

And I don't think it was his intention to send the team out there tonight so that he had indisputable evidence that Marshall needed to be dropped. He picked what he thought was the best team to compete in this game, which reflects poorly given the result!

Liam should be renamed Panda Bear. He was poor tonight as he has been for most of the backend of the season. Certainly no need for exceptiona for him tonight.

When Iosefa ran onto the field our standard of play went even lower. He even took it upon himself as dummy half to put in a short kick which gently lobbed into the arms of a rooster player. Injured players may be tolerated Mick, where is this team's organisation in attack and defence around the rucks?

The perfect world is that if players are injured they shouldn't play …but wait the fans want a winning Team ever week as do the club, so before criticism coaches are between a rock and a hard place . I fully support Potter playing these guys HELLO these fakes are not his!! New Cattle is required....

I didn't say he played well , but he sure tried his arse off and put in

I have also backed Potter all the way….but geez some of those selections are shockers...Mosada Iosefa has been terrible for a long time and tonite we recall him and he was woeful. Benji's just off with the pixies, I don't know what game he is playing but it ain't on the same page as the other players.

I will say thank you to benji though...thanks for not accepting the deal for the next two years, cause if I had to watch that crap you play....I'd burn my membership.

I did think teddy, nofo, simona, siro , fulton and a couple of others looked Good/OK but geez this really is embarrasing.

We always knew that it could get a bit bad before we turn the corner but even I am shocked how inept this side is.

No doubt Snake, these fakes as you put it, are not his, so why has he continued selecting them and in doing so, empowering them? It's resulted in the stuff we see tonight. Again, we can mention that he has no one to choose from due to injury but who is really missing tonight aside from Woods, Reddy and Koro? He has a squad of players and even if it means bringing in one of them from NSW Cup to just juggle the side around, wouldn't that send more of a message?

Yes as someone said, hindsight allows us to do everything better. But, surely, people at the top of their profession are placed there because they have vision and understanding others don't. Hindsight? What about Mick's foresight?

The worst thing is Potters statement during the post match press conference…."there were some encouraging signs tonight"

What game was he watching????!!!!!!!! WHAT WERE THEY MICK?????

Are you surprised? There hasnt been one press conference this year in which Potter has made comments that suggest he has a clue.

But he is not Sheens and so will mostly escape criticism on here.

When its not Sheens team Potter will cop it.

Anasta and Royce were his last two decisions. Thing were not going to improve under him.

It's all about next year for Potter… unless the rumour of Payton in the other thread is right

- scored 3 tries against the best defence in the comp
- tedesco, bmm and ava had their best games for us against the best team in the comp

there were quite a few encouraging signs in the first half, the defence up the middle let us down in the second half
