So sad. Should be a positive time for our club with this batch of juniors coming through. Instead, we are watching a decent man being crucified in public.
Robbie is a smart man though and if he sees public sympathy for Potter, he will change his tune

I only know one person who might have any idea about the club. What he told me earlier this year was potter had a two year extension about to be tabled. The group was more stable since benji left, not just because of benji himself, but because rob and benji were partners in crime against potter. Rob by himself had been towing the line and all was sweet on the surface. Obviously under the surface he was just looking for others to help him stir the pot. Almost makes me feel sorry for Benji, they did the same thing to sheens and farah's reputation didn't suffer despite his role.
This could all be way off btw. If I had a signed declaration I would have posted much earlier! But with the other things posted here by Southern and quintis I'm thinking there may be some truth to it.

Yeh you gotta feel sorry for the young blokes. They signed with the tigers to play with their mates and their club- teddy even took a MASSIVE paycut but idiots on the board, senior players and the overall politics being played out there could possible cause them their future at this club.
Whoever is responsible for this crap should give themselves an uppercut and get the hell out of here.
This club is the biggest joke in front of the media with all this speculation. The moltzen saga, Benji/beau saga, teddy re signing, sheens sacking. Dysfunctional board, sacking of a ceo and now rumours about the club captain conspiring to get rid of the head coach who's done a good job.
You gotta feel sorry for the young blokes. They probably wish they'd signed elsewhere.

Potter just doesn't seem concerned enough in any interviews I've seen and if Potter wanted some info his best response at the pressos would be "Ask Grant Mayer and the board , they make the decisions "

THE Wests Tigers will risk throwing their finals charge into turmoil as they prepare to make a decision on coach Mick Potter’s future at a board meeting next Thursday night.
After starting the season as the wooden spoon favourites, the Tigers take on St George Illawarra tomorrow at ANZ Stadium with a chance to jump into the top eight.
While most outside the club consider Potter’s efforts as one of the coaching performances of the season, there are sections within the club who seem intent on removing him.
Tigers chairman Mike Bailey on Friday confirmed that a decision would be made on Potter’s future on Thursday.
“Put it this way, it is on the agenda and I think we are getting to a point where everyone would like to have a resolution and that probably includes Mick Potter,” Bailey said.
Given their young roster and terrible run of injuries, Potter is among the leading contenders for the Dally M coach of the year award.
The Tigers have produced three of the biggest upset wins of the season — over Souths, Manly and Canterbury last weekend — and they go into the game against the Dragons tomorrow on 22 points, with only points differential keeping them out of the eight. Asked if he believed Potter had done a good job, Bailey said: “We have done very well this season, there is no argument on that front.
“However, I have to be careful what I say here because I don’t want to get into the business of commenting on Mick Potter at the moment for the reason that I am only one person on the board.’’
Matty Johns was highly critical of the Tigers’ management on Friday in his Daily Telegraph column. He wrote that the decision to conduct a mid-season review of the club’s football operations was “damaging and unnecessary”.
Asked if he had read Johns’ column, Bailey said: “I saw those comments.
“I am sure other board members will see it, read that, digest it and put it before ourselves when we get around to making a final decision on where we go in the future.”

Should the board sack Potter, I hope they don't stop there if there is any truth about certain players instigating Potters sacking. I hope they go as well, wether it's Farah or whoever. This might explain why year after year we underachieved. If true, some players want to run everything, in doing so their effectiveness on the field suffers, we don't need this or deserve this. It should be all for one and one for all.

FFS…...Sunday Telegraph reporting Potter will be sacked next week regardless of result against Saints and Kidwell into top job.
WESTS Tigers are expected to sack embattled coach Michael Potter after Sunday’s game against the Dragons — irrespective of the result.
The Sunday Telegraph understands Potter does not have the support at board level to retain his job or obtain an extension.
Despite solid results this season, the playing group is not supporting Potter, believing he struggles to communicate his ideas to the team. The club has arranged for a special board meeting on Saturday to resolve the issue of Potter’s future, which has been uncertain for months.
It is understood the recommendation before the board is that Potter be dumped.
It is unsure whether his axing will be immediate or at the end of the season.
His job is expected to go to one of his assistant coaches, Todd Payten or David Kidwell, with Kidwell the favourite.
Senior players did not throw their full support behind Potter — a fact that came to light in veteran coach Brian Smith’s internal review of the club conducted recently.
Smith’s report is believed to have contained statements from players and officials critical of Potter’s communication skills.
Privately, the board want the matter resolved before the possibility of Potter embarrassing the club by making the semi-finals.
Potter was appointed as the Tigers’ head coach after the sacking of veteran Tim Sheens at the end of 2012.
Sheens led the Tigers to the 2005 premiership in a famous victory but he, too, lost the support of key players at the club.
Ironically, Potter came within a whisker of being sacked at the end of last season.
But the club decided it could not afford to pay out two head coaches — Potter and Sheens — and he survived the axe.
The Tigers had a strong start to this season before hitting the wall, but then bounced back with a superb 46-18 thumping of the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium last Sunday.
If they beat the Dragons today, there is a good chance they will go on and make the finals after finishing 10th and 15th in the last two seasons.
The club has one of the best rosters in the NRL with NSW State of Origin representatives Robbie Farah and Aaron Woods backed by outstanding youngsters like Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses, Curtis Sironen, David Nofoaluma and Blake Austin.
Officials are keen to get a coach in place who can develop these rising stars and turn the Tigers into one of the NRL’s strongest clubs.
