I know it is not easy with injuries and disruptions. We don't expect them to win every week. However we expect a bit of cohesions and a plan that can at least worry some teams. Maybe something a bit different after we had looked lifeless with Robbie the first 3 or 4 times. Look at the Dogs on Friday night with plenty out under Hasler. A cunning plan that totally out foxed Manly. An example of really good coaching.
Some of the performance this year without Robbie has been mind numbingly bad. Seems like the plan is lets plod out way to being 0-12 down after half an hour and then throw Austin out there to score his customary individual try out of no where.
They looked like headless chooks today. No direction, no talk, no speed, no questions being asked. Potter has continued to pick Luani despite him showing no ability to be a first grade number 9\. Today he hits the ball up on 5th tackle from a metre out then Penrith go up the other end and score.
Lulia shows no ability what so ever every time he plays first grade. However walks into the team every time. His positional play when Idirs scored was laughable. Its like he wanted nothing to do with him. I won't even tal about Lawrence its just laughable.
Im just wondering how much our good performances are all to do with Farahs coaching on the field and his leadership. We look worse then a wooden spoon team without him. We dead set struggle to complete a set, construct a dangerous play or make any sort of line break. Several first graders on decent money are still offering very little.
Potter has been a good man to build a new culture. He has done a lot of work building this clb up from the shambles of 2012 and 2013\. The team does put in for 80 minutes pretty much every week. I know it is not easy with troops down, however we show nothing at all. Look at th Sharks vibrancy with plenty out last night or the Dogs on friday. Even Parra without Hayen had a nice win over the Dogs.
I would be prepared to re-sign Potter for another year based on a lot of the good ground work he has done. However the lack of inspiration from a tactical and game plan view point has me worried we are going to find it difficult to progress to the next level under him at this stage.
Im not writing him off, however the totally insipid and lifeless performances without Farah have me a bit worried from a tactical and selection viewpoint.
