Predict the 2016 WT Season

You have to ask yourself what clubs can we finish in front of at the end of the season.Probably the Titians and the Knights, than you start to scratch your head. The likes of the Raiders,Dragons are also possibilities, but very hard to see us beating to many more past the post.

So based on the above, Iam thinking 12th or 13th,but I do expect us to be a lot more competive against the better sides and we will beat the odd top side during the season

The thing is, we were actually quite competitive against the top sides last year and actually knocked a few over. Its the lower sides that we have struggled against the last few years and if we come out with the same hunger then we will be pushing for the top 8

If the players are given a bit more Freedom and allowed to play what's in front of them ? Then we are going to surprise a few people .
When you compare us to other sides we are behind in making the 8 as sides like Broncos , Cowboys , Bulldogs , Rabbits , Roosters , Sharks , Storm , Manly , Warriors have better sides than we have .

So in terms of making the 8 ? Don't think we have a chance…....the Optimistic will say otherwise .

As long as the effort is there week in week out , that will have to do for me .

Every year there are teams that slip, teams that under achieve and teams that over achieve.
This year I expect,The Dogs,Souths,Storm and the Chooks to slip a little,on the other hand I expect the Warriors,Eels and Manly to improve…and who knows with the rest. History tell us the Cowboys are very unlikely to go back to back, but they will still be around the top of the table. Of course nobody really knows what effect the reduced interchange will have on the sides. Fingers crossed we fall into the over achieve category.

halves click, the very underated rule changes allow our pack to get on top of others and we sneak into the 8 with a nice run of injuries.

the dally M dinner has a mysterious bout of food poisoning allowing us to win the GF as we coincidentally did not attend.

I'm a little more optimistic now we have better depth in the front row . Particularly in the middle of the season when we really struggled without Robbie and Woods. This year we should be better with Ballin and Grant.
If we start as well as we did last year, than maintain momentum during the middle period we will finish somewhere between 9th and 7th, IMO.
I don't think we will go as bad as last year, however we a one or two class players away from the top four. So it's somewhere in the middle, for mine.

I'm not expecting much but am, of course, hopeful of a top 8 finish. But to do that who would miss out from last year's 8? I guess any team that suffers injuries to key players might struggle but it's very unlikely that more than 3 of last year's finalists will not make it again this season. So that would leave 3 spots, perhaps 4, up for grabs for last year's bottom 8 clubs. Out of last year's bottom 8 the Titans and Knights look unlikely to make it although both might surprise at different times during the season. So if 3 spots will be up for grabs then the Warriors, Manly, Panthers, Eels, Raiders and maybe the Tigers will be the teams most likely to fill them. But if we do manage to get there it'll be one of the best efforts by all at the club since 2005 in my opinion, and might just be the catalyst for a resurgent Wests Tigers. One can only hope.

I don't get your logic at all. Teams fall in and out of the 8 yr after yr.

Would we have been better off with one truly major signing where most needed rather than a handful of too youngs and too olds? I don't a major was available anyway.
