Sure Luai can play as a 1st receiver, but taking away his time and space to play which would also reduce his opportunities to run the ball is essentially taking him away from his strengths isn’t it ?
The better and smarter option would be for them to have an equal 50/50 split, both playing both sides of the field as often as possible which would keep their opponents guessing and allow Luai opportunities to run at players wide of the ruck which he does so well and was the play that virtually won NSW the SOO series in 2024.
