I think it is very important to show Benji the respect he deserves for his contribution to this club. No other individual player has attracted fans and promoted interest in the club like Benji has. It sends a very bad message - regardless of how individuals feel about him - to other players and the NRL community at large. This has to be handled in a professional manner as we already have bad form in this area and It would be stupid to make the same mistake again.

What makes you think the club hasnt handled it professionaly?It could well be that Benji just cant let it go and is living in denial.I have said it many times he is not a first grade footballer anymore and we need better

Marshall is entitled to end his career as he sees fit. If that means another year or two with another club then that’s up to him and his manager. But this should not end in a circus. His departure from WT should end in a dignified manner by all parties.
Personally I will feel disappointed if he does not play his last game in our colours but then “that’s life”.

Agree but so is the club entitled to do what is best for the club

Give him a last game but only do so if form warrants it

When you go on too long this is the risk you run

Amazing how two consummate professionals in Rowdy and Aubo handle it with dignity and get treated with nothing but respect but Benji wants to once again burn the place down on the way out.

Magic player in his prime, but his decision making in how he engages with the club has tarnished his legacy.

Put them on a pedestal for Old Boy days like Canberra do ...but with all of our recruitment it should have no links to 2005
