Quadja to get a shot

For anybody that wants to know, Quadja is the Arrente word for water. The Alice Springs commentators were using it in the Eels trial. Arrente is the central Australian language used around Alice Springs.

Strangely enough i would have thought Drinkwater would have replaced Lawrence yesterday

So i'd be happy to see Josh on the park, i personally rate him … Lets see what he can offer in FG

From what I have seen from Drinky so far is a compitant footballer that has a good skill set , I think he will surprise a few people I only wish the Tigers had him signed for a bit longer as I think he will be going elsewhere unfortunately .

From how Drinkwater performed on his Trial games and reports from yesterday , he has to be given a shot . I'm not sure how he would go at 5/8 or even if he has played there before.
Has a marvelous kicking game

Looks like we're going to see just how good this kid is. Everyone's been talking him up, now it's time for him to step up.

i wouldnt say talking him up

people have said hell be a great backup for brooks/moses and he will be. no ones expecting him to come in and dominate, although im not gonna be unhappy if he does!

I really rate Drinkwater. He hasn't put a foot wrong everytime he has played for us. His kicking game and composure in the Nines and the two trial matches was exceptional. I also heard he was MoM in the NSW Cup game tonight too.

If Moses is out for 3-4 weeks and Drinkwater plays well, Moses might slot straight back into the team but if he doesn't play well consistently after that I think Drinkwater will put a lot of pressure on him to keep the no. 6 jersey.

damn that profile pic is really offputting haha

was thinking, i dont remember writing any of this….??

Ahahaha sorry man didn't realise somebody else had that avatar! I've changed mine now

:deadhorse: in the world club challenge there a simpler but far worse tackle than that. Guess what nothing was done about it. It to me if it's rep game it don't matte! But a club game it does matter how two faced can you get?

Agreed, i havent heard anyone talking him up. Most people are measured and realise Brooks and Moses are the future.

Heard a few people with low opinions of him based on the fact he has been to a few clubs so must be average.

I will look forward to seeing him get his opportunity. For mine, Moses was solid but his kicking game left a lot to be desired - maybe he got the ball under too much pressure - whereas Drinkwater seems to have an excellent kick on him and that's a valuable asset.
