Compare the packs and benches Geo, then you may understand. Spines alone dont win origins.

Too right Harv…Gillett among the best back rowers in the game..hits like a truck..Napa is a redhead with them crazy eyes...McGuire brings that Samoan flavour with every hit up...Slammin Sam only knows one way...Lillyman is a rock...

for the record I am predicting a QLD win and I don't know why, NSW game 2 then QLD game 3.

NSW has the better forward pack, but not enough to dominate.
QLD have the better spine by far. Tedesco is still an origin rookie, what he has done with the tigers won't prepare him.

It's down to the NSW Center and wingers to get the ball over the line. Dugan, Hayne, Morris and Bird are definite try machines. Tedesco is the weak point. QLD will need to see their forwards lift and I think they will. Their spine is weaker without Thurston but Milford and Cronk still are so awesome. Smith can give them great ball they just don't have the center's or wingers to follow up.

It will be spine vs centers. Lets see who wins.

Too many pills. That game went exactly to script.
Locky is a selector dont forget. He and his mates must do better in the selection room. The weakest QLD side in a dozen years just got treated as such.

Honestly I thought it was going to be a lot closer than that. In fact after the first 20 i thought we might even lose the game.

Also did the Qld team apply some grubby tactics or am I being a one eyed supporter?

I agree that the first 20 was very competitive and thats because the blues were playing with only 1.5 front rowers. Once the benches came on they immediately took control and never took the foot off. It is exactly how i saw the game playing out in my head when studying the teams chosen. NSW have an exceptional crop coming through and QLD must be smarter at the selection table…otherwise we'll see another dynasty start.

Theyll win game 2\. NSW werent perfect and offered 4 or 5 scoring opportunities. With the correct players chosen those chances will be converted. Add to that the fact that the worlds best defensive backrower had an off game and these teams are a lot closer than last night indicated.
Game 1 was brilliant
Game 2 will be an epic
