lol, funny if Roosters accepted, and then Souths agreed and go ahead only to find out that the player swap for 2021 is a go but Tupou has signed for Rosters for 2022.

Hope they do this. Would limit JACs ability to head there.

Knowing our luck JAC would then most likely end up at the Roosters!!

I just read more of the article. Roosters offered $50k, Souths said no we want Tupou. If not Tupou, then one of the Morris twins. LOL

Wonder if they'll ask for Teddy next. Don't want* much do they.

According to the article, the kid actually hasn't played since October last year. So if Souths hang onto him and do nothing with him for another year, surely two years out of the game will hurt the kid's development.

It is complete and utter stupidity that any club carries on about a kid this age, regardless. I just cant fathom this garbage. Has to be more about a power struggle than his ability.

Souths should hold fast on this one, they've done all the development work on Suaalii and he's still under contract.

The kid's basically tried to back Souths into a corner with the threats of leaving for Union or other NRL clubs, whilst making outrageous demands in his contract - not having played a single FG match.

Somewhere amongst all this Roosters have sniffed an opportunity and rolled out their magical red carpet, going from "not involved" to front-runners. All sounds very Tedesco to me, how Roosters suddenly poke their noses through the pack and the player is suddenly dying to join Easts.

I'm sure Suaalii has a few sponsor golf days lined up the day he starts at Easts.

I recall previous comments about how Tigers don't compete with Souths in recruitment due to Rusty Crowe and the hollywood aspect, but obviously there's another tier of pull above Souths.

I must be missing something here. Why on earth do they want another winger. Anyway I can't wait to see Clarkey bagging Souths for digging in and refusing to let Suaalii go.

Lol this is ridiculous. I know the kid could become anything, but equally could become nothing.

Needs better people around him.

Could turn out to be another Karlos Filiga Sharks paid a fortune for the next big thing and he played one game.

I've never heard of that guy.
I guess that proves your point, doesn't it, lol.

Karlos was hyped as the next SBW. Cronulla in 2007 won the bidding war and signed him for 3 years on $600,000. He played 11 minutes off the bench in 2008 so he costs Cronulla $20,000 a minute. He was injury prone.
