Rankin and Lovett

Don't mind if we lose as the effort has been there tonight, but I want to compliment these two. I haven't been reading the forum as much lately because well, frankly I am sick of the bitching and moaning on here of late by a few, with Jordan and Kyle being a couple of their most common targets.

Quote for truth. He's playing out of position but I think he has done a fine job, excepting last week, but they were all poor last week save one or two.

You know it's funny, I watched Rankin's ESL highlights video last night and saw him carve up running the ball and thought where is that guy? Then he showed up tonight. That was an outstanding performance from him. I stand corrected.

They were both great…..Rankin really proved his value..

Lovett shut down Inglis pretty well

Rankin looked good tonight, especially when he went infield. I liked that he & Simona were happy to swap around. He's just not much suited to playing on the wing.

There's one thing you can't deny Lovett and that's effort, even if you don't rate him his effort is there every week.

Rankin was very good tonight, credit to him. Lovett's cleanup defence in the middle was excellent.

I can see what JT sees in Lovett….EFFORT..every week he keeps trying..

Rankin can hold his head high,he gets bagged all the time...no one can bag his gutsy effort this week...

Well done to both of them...and well down the whole of the WTs team after a belting last week....

JT deserves some much deserved credit this week...he cops plenty most of the time...well done JT....

Both players shone tonight especially Lovett who shut down their main danger man GI all through the match. Bunnies aren't any where near as dangerous when Inglis can't do his thing

I like the way Rankin spoke in the media this week about not just improving but coming out and winning it. He really aimed up tonight. His determination and ability to play different positions in the backline with ease, remind me a bit of Blake Austin when he was here.

most definitely. ive been a hesitant supporter - primarily because if we drop him we dont have a half decent kicker and his replacement wouldnt solve our problems nor would they drastically outperform him - hasnt been going atrociously so no need to make unforced changes to the team

Rankin confirmed he is a talented player tonight. Maybe he may turn into a useful winger but he has been ordinary in that position so far this year.

Lovett has been going good this year and copped a lot of unjustified criticism. Great game tonight.

Yes I was surprised to see Lovett turn up a number of times when Inglis had the ball. Rankin played well but if he could just lift his goal kicking up a notch or two, I was hoping we wouldn't end up losing because of missed goal compared to Reynolds accuracy.
