Rankin or JAC moving forward

Well the crossroad has been reached ,there is a real possibility now that if the team can be kept together a top 8 finish is on the cards .So here is the question does Talyor keep the inexperienced JAC who has made his intentions clear by not wanting to be at the club next season on the wing or bring in the experienced Rankin that has played consistently all season and is the best kicker that the club has at present . My view is Rankin has to be brought back in mainly for his goal kicking ,after watching the kicking last night I also think that without a decent kicker the top 8 will be out of the question especially in tight games .I like JAC but he has made his decision to move on and at this stage of the season a safer /game winning player should fill his position IMO.

I don't care about 2017, 2016 is still alive for us. JAC is a natural winger where Rankin is a not.

Moses and Simona need to practice goal kicking.

Last night's team is the best we can field and besides injury or giving JJ another go it should stay the same.

If Rankin could kick goal at 80% i would drop JAC considering he is leaving at seasons end. However Rankin cant kick at that high percentage so i would stick with JAC.

I fear the more time Rankin spends out of this team the longer he will take to get back into the grove

I'd pick him, plus he kicks a higher percentage than Moses

We will not beat any of the better teams while we are kicking at 30%, but Rankin doesn't kick at 70%, so I guess we need to score a million trys and JAC has more chance of doing that than Rankin. Also Moses will get better, Benji was a very average kicker when he first started kicking, than he became a very reliable kicker as he got older

I think the difference was he started to take his time taking those kicks
Early in the piece Benji would rush them and spray them.

I dont mind the ones hitting the upright, but the ones that get sprayed 15m either side, oh God, i just think the Footy Show viewers do better

If JAC starts next week WT you will see a compassionate request come through to break the Storm contract. He was quite simply horrible the last 2 weeks. We need to sign a winger its a huge issue.
Ken Maumalo from Warriors would be nice.

JAC may be a natural winger in a way Rankin isn't, but JAC is also a rookie where Rankin is a seasoned player who has been playing on and off at a high level since the age of 16\. We have enough game breakers with Teddy, Moses and Brooks (if they're on song). I think Rankin is better for team balance, especially given the goal kicking element.

Rankin is not and never will be a winger so for me its no contest.I dont believe in playing people out of position

Most want flash to substance we all have our view time will tell..but no kicker =no finals it is that simple this is why average footballers that were good kickers were always selected regardless .

Rankin for me ….
JAC has shown his true colours .
They aren't Black , Orange & White .... They are Purple .
Bye bye JAC .

Funny thing about that is I suggested targeting ET as a signing for 2017 at the start of this year and the only person that expressed any interest in him was GNR. Professionalism is seriously underrated on here at times. I love the speed of JAC and to some extent the aggression of Nathan Brown is useful, but neither are close to being solid, reliable first graders yet.

Rankin had a stinker in ISP today..he wasn't on his Pat Milone tho..

Rankin gets owned trying to bring the ball out of our 20\. JAC, whilst he has an error or two in him, eats more metres when we need them.

Probably won't help his cause I suppose but I'd be inclined to bringing him back in even if its on the wing.

Rankin back on the wing is playing snakes & ladders.
1 step forward with JAC, 3 steps back if replaced by Rankin.

Rankin isn't a solution to our current void in the edge. If he is given opportunity in the halves, so be it, but JAC will bounce back from 2 average performances & is a genuine winger.

JAC without any doubt whatsoever. He is a natural finisher and possesses skill and pace Rankin simply does not have. Anyone choosing Rankin isn't being objective.
