Brooks isn't being dropped. This entire shakeup is to try make brooks good again, despite him being awful and Doueihi clearly being our best half

The fact this club is choosing that dud Brooks over someone like Doueihi genuinely makes my blood boil. How disgusting and it's the exact opposite of what we are trying to teach our boys - accountability.

Rookies have one bad game and get dropped completely. Stefano plays very well and STILL gets dropped. Brooks has a year and a half of being awful and the ENTIRE team gets worked around him.

It’s beyond comprehension isn’t it? I long for the day that Brooks isn’t part of this team.

I don't think so. Simpkin looked cooked last week - he needs to learn the ropes about what it takes to play NRL week in, week out. Having said that, I would have kept him on the bench to interchange Liddle.

Saw Mbye on the news, he was genuinely surprised to be named at 6 so it sounds like it was very much a surprise to him...But he sucked in the centres last week and it may be strategic to line Doueihi up against Best. The forward pack will have its hands full. We were lucky to beat the Knights last time and their forward pack dominated ours. I see the same thing happening again here unfortunately.

I don't know what to think to be honest Stefano being dropped is a bit of a shock too

I think that Madge's selections today were meant to show the players that he really means business and that nobody is above being dropped. How the players respond is open to conjecture.

By dropping rookies and guys who've been performing well and moving one of our best players to accomodate an under performing dud

The message that sends is the coach has his favourites and there's no real accountability.

Dropping Tamou would show the team he is serious. I have not been impressed with Tamou since his arrival

You can hope. Didn't go so well last season though. At some point he needs to start getting results out of the guys he's got though, otherwise he'll be the one who gets dropped.

- madden to debut
- blore is back
- Liddle gets a crack
- mikale improving

Still hold the view that the coach is stifling certain players, but agree with him on the relegation of a couple of those that for mine so many treat as shiny new toys and show them way too much favour, when in reality they are very much more matte like at this point.

My concerns are that I feel Blore is underdone and needed a few more weeks in reserves. Also Mbye just shows no intensity or hunger so his promotion worries me. AD could well be found out in D as a centre.
No problem with Simpkin and Cini dropping back to find more confidence and form. I think Stefano may benefit as well as his intensity has dropped off in recent weeks and Madge may be encouraging him to step up and show he is hungry enough to play NRL.
Liddle looked the sharper of the two hookers for mine last week.
