With the emergence of mullet man, looking like he may become a regular first grader, where does that leave Hoffman? With Cini, AJ, Tommy, and possibly Kei in the near future, does Hoffman fit in?

It's a good problem to have, let Hoffman develop and pick the players on form.
Hopefully we can lock Cini up.

And Gebbie, Cooper.

It's a good problem to have.

Every club needs depth and we've got a truckload of young talent coming through at the moment. Hoffman to me is developing ok - seems about on par with Cini for pace, which isn't great but he's got a decent build and is doing a job in KOE. We've still got him for next year when he moves into the top 30 so hopefully he continues to improve and then who knows...

With AJ out for some time and with his 1st ACL, we can't count on him now for some time
Tommy is more suited to centre IMO
We won't see Roberts after this year
Bj may also be gone
And Cheekam although not a centre has had to play there
We keep Hoffman and try to develop him more
We need competition and a healthy one at that
These young guys can push each other all the way
Unless of course we snare a Staggs or similar

Fitzgibbon, Gebbie, Dillon, Scolari and the young recruit from Brisbane Ngutlik all have genuine pace. Pace adds another dimension to the attack and also very important for WTs, defence.

Shows glimpses at times, but needs to find a couple of yards of pace from somewhere.

I wouldn't write him off yet.

Depth. Hoffman needs time anyway he's not ready for first grade.

All the players mentioned in previous posts included HOFFMAN are under contract to WT'S .
Do they get more to play FG ?
We are in a good position right through the ranks of WT'S the players below FG and even some in FG are all going through the learning process . Yes we may lose some but that's life and you can't keep then all that why people like Hartigan are employed to compile our roster

For me personally...Madge's methods are slowly changing from translucent :mag: to transparent and we need to be supportive for the sake of Our Team and Our Fans.
I am feeling really positive about a good finish to this year leading into a big improvement in 2022, but even more so about 2023 when we will have our best year since 2005...maybe even better!!!
They say if it's worthwhile...it' worth the wait :v: :yum:
Hang on to your hats and scarves Wests Tigers supporters...we're in for a wild ride.
Gees, I hope I dont fall of the perch before then :joy:

**Tigers set to release youngster with rivals poised to strike**
The Tigers could be in for a change to their squad.

Wests Tigers are set to make a somewhat surprising roster decision by letting youngster Reece Hoffman depart the club, with reports suggesting he is bound for the Canterbury Bulldogs.

A former junior State of Origin star, Hoffman played for the Queensland under-18s team in 2019 before making his NRL debut in Round 9 of the 2020 season.

As yet however, he has struggled to turn that into a more consolidated run in first grade.

He was part of the development squad again in 2021, however the 20-year-old has failed to add to his one appearance at first-grade level.

It's now being reported by George Clarke of AAP that he is set for an imminent release, with the Canterbury Bulldogs set to swoop for his signature immediately.

Hoffman was due to move into the top 30 squad for the Tigers during the 2022 season, having been originally signed to the Tigers on a three-year deal. 2022 was due to be the last year of that contract.

Like many juniors, Hoffman's development has been stunted by the lack of reserve grade rugby league over the past two years, owing to the coronavirus global pandemic.

The centre is rated as an enormous talent and could fit in amongst a young backline at the Bulldogs, however, would likely be behind the likes of Aaron Schoupp, Brent Naden and Braidon Burns for a spot in the centres if he was released to Belmore.

Enormous talent is a stretch. Too slow for centre and not sure he has the skill set for the back row. Good luck to him though.

He looked nowhere near state cup level the small amount of times I've seen him. To me Hoffman is a wasted roster spot.

If memory serves me correctly he had a poor debut but that was mainly caused imo by M'Bye having an absolute shocker in the centres and leaving him posted marking 2=3 all game.I honestly wish him well at the dogs because for some strange reason they believe they need more backs.

Or they need to fill their roster. Hoffman isn’t exactly breaking the bank.

That is true but they still need forwards more than backs imo
