The bottom line, it’s only football. It’s only taken me 60 years to put things in perspective!! Every year I think this will be the year we start our charge towards some future glory days, and every year when the mid season grind hits in we falter...you can set your watch by it. Than we are told that due to previous coaches,CEO’s or who ever that we are in a rebuild stage and not to expect to much for another couple of years.

I guess what saddens me is other teams rise from the cellar but we never do. Anyway I still have faith in Madge and if he gets the chance to clean out some of the dumbest recruitments ever made in the history of the NRL I think there is still hope...but not this year and probably not next

Do you enjoy watching other teams play more than us? I look forward to watching the chooks and Panthers this year. They're bloody good football teams who play great footy. There's not to many tigers games that are enjoyable.

I wouldn’t miss a Tigers game for quids but I enjoy watching other teams play
( big games ) as much as our games if not more

Its hard to beat a good game of footy. I miss the times when our games meant something.

At least we shifted the ball a bit last night to try and break the dominance of our middle, which made it a bit more enjoyable than watching us get smashed there a few weeks ago and not doing anything about it. Can cop going down swinging, just not watching an unchanging robotic flawed game plan.

I mean playing in games that effect the competition.

Fair enough, though reflecting on my time on the forum, we have been involved in many games that I would argue have affected the competition and particularly our final place in it. Losing multiple games in recent years, including two in the final round that would have had us playing at least one weekend of finals footy and getting above our now joke amongst the league community our regular ninth position, which we sit in once again as I write.

For mine one of those games that very much affected the remainder of this season was played out against the Warriors and whilst I am almost certain that the coach learnt from it, both on and off the field, it was a crucial match for WT in this year's competition.

I might need a one week ban as I can't stay off the forum. This is the only place I bother with when it comes to RL but it's making it harder to kick the tiger habit.

True, we get at least one game a year.

I joined the forum at the start of 2011. From 2012 onwards we’ve missed the finals every year. Being on this forum without us playing finals is all I know. It’s all the majority of us know since a lot of regulars have joined after me and have been on here for years and years. I really don’t know what it’s like to discuss a successful team. My time has been made up of crisis after crisis. From Farah vs JT to Cleary to losing Tedesco. . It’s sad. I feel sorry for all of us cos we devote so much time and emotion to this place, and they suck it out of you till you become irreverent to everything. Which on the surface seems great cos you don’t have to feel the lows like tonight. But it sucks, cos you want to bleed with your team, it shouldn’t get you to a point where you don’t even care when we lose. But it does.

I joined in 2012. Starting to think I might be the problem. 😢 😢 😢

This from the club infuriates me... The "oh well another loss" attitude, forever downplaying the situation.

I know media.&.PR must be somewhat positive but this just reeks of accepting mediocrity.

This place was great in 05...met so many members from here at bay 105? At ANZ... many day games, lots of banners, the atmosphere was special..

10.&11 we were at SFS I didn't like it that much... Many Friday games difficult to get to

Been here since 03 or. 04 but followed the magpies for 25 years before 2000...not much will change for this club imo

I will die having seen my club win 2 grand finals 1969 & 2005,i just hope before my passing i will start to see my club rise from the ashes like a phoenix.Madge is the right person to get us there but it takes time to remove the deadwood and we have plenty of that

Its all about perspective. I've been a Tigers supporter (in both it's iterations) for 57 years! There have been moments of glory, but by and large, mostly disappointment.
But then I look around and see what really matters - family, friends, this amazing planet on which we live and I realise, that a game of footy isn't that big of a deal. Perspective, guys - its footy. Its not really that important.

Yep, completely agree. Last night was the first game for the WTs I didn't watch this year due to family reasons. You know what, I feel no frustration, no anger, no negative emotions and that's because I didn't subject myself to it and you do realise what important once you step back slightly. I'm not even going to watch the highlights and let this week go straight through to the keeper.

Highlights singular. Tedesco getting hit by Garner

We’ll also get the midweek fluff article quoting a player praising how they were able to compete with a top 4 side, buuuuttt they just can’t compete for 80 minutes, and it’s something they know they need to improve on. We should have a pool on who will be that player. My guess is Twal this week. He’s due I think.

Twal is a good call, they haven’t wheeled him out for a while. I reckon we’ll see something about Benji inspriring the young guys too.

Totally agree have been a forum follower since 2009 and like the club’s PR machine have reluctantly had to accept their FB posts of mediocrity as the norm now.
I am still holding onto the hope that once we rid ourselves of the Cleary era that Madge has a structure to turn this around but I would love the Head Office to come out and say this in their spin rather than sugar coat our position.

Joined the forum after some mishaps after surgery that kept me off work in late 2010/11

Was convinced we were a huge chance in 2011and after signing Blair we were favourites to win the premiership in 2012 (does everyone remember that exciting feeling )

Forward 9/10 years and I'm guessing most of us pinch ourselves every morning hoping this was all just a horrible ,horrible nightmare

Its Rd 1 2012 ....Tedesco finishes the game after a hat trick and 389 metres ...we've beaten Cronulla by 40 .....Fifita has had a change of heart and is staying a WT ......a surgeon has a magical cure for Taniela ...Dwyer misses the game v the Dogs with a cold ...Ellis is excited at the WT's future and has become an Australian citizen declaring his allegiance to Qld

Bloody Footy Gods .....will you stop using the WT's supporters agates as a punching bag

We deserve a break ...seriously

There was a bit of schoolyard language flying around my lounge room last Saturday! Missus Tigger even came in from the rumpus room to give me the evil eye.

Longest active playoff/finals droughts
MLB: Seattle Mariners: 18 years (last qualified in 2001)
NFL: Cleveland Browns: 16 years (last qualified in 2002)
NBA: Sacramento Kings: 13 years (last qualified in 2005-06)
NRL: Wests Tigers: 9 Years (last qualified in 2011)

Ways to go if we're gunning for that no.1 spot hahahahaha
