Brent Read talking on triple M seems to think the deal is unlikely to happen, with money being the big sticking point. Bulldogs not keen on paying much for him at all

I don’t know which trustworthy news source to trust they’re all so good at reporting facts ?

The truth is these news sources are not entirely trustworthy. The other truth is that Bulldogs don't want to spend money but would like to have Reynolds on their team..

I would not have paid 500k to move him on. Are you going to get a better player for the money he frees up

Great question

If Josh can't stay on the field, then anyone is better

To much noise for it not to happen

Paying $500k of a salary for another club shows me we still struggle big time with our roster and cap management.
A shiny new gym won't fix that.

New coach has definitely helped though. Best thing he’s done was refuse to upgrade Marsters contract - something old coaches probably would’ve done no question. Madge was intent on fixing our cap and he’s done a pretty good job so far

I've pinned all my hope for this club to Madge.

Youve never struck me as a real hopeful kinda guy Gal

So we’re getting Josh Jackson in return? Pay is that dumb, that could happen

No that's not what I had in mind
The idea was Reynolds and Jackson would be back together again

Hold the phone.... rumblings....

May be off again.

Like sands through the hour glass these are the Days of Our Lives.

This reminds me of the Latrell fiasco, 100 articles and people saying it’s happening and 100 others saying it’s not.

Old mate will eat his other shoe if he doesn't sign

Thanks JoshColeman99.
I just listened to that Read clip.

I'm still not convinced that its shot in the water, from what was said. All about the $$$, but always has been.
Time will tell.

Josh has to decide if he wants to finish his career in first grade or take the money we have signed him on playing reserve grade next year or training in the squad this year.

I can’t see him in the side barring a few injuries, whereas he would have a better chance at the dogs.

I hope he can finish his career at Canterbury as he will be remembered as a dogs player not a tiger .

Reynolds has the choice .. what is his priority- take a pay cut and play out his career in the NRL at the place he calls home - takes the money and disappears in the ether of reserve grade and be forgotten.
I can not see the club giving him away and paying a massive over for him to move on .. better to keep him on the books as a back up ... his choice !
