Anyone going to the rally on Tuesday?

What have i missed here. What rally?

There's a ''rally'' being organized on Facebook for Tuesday outside Concord. So far, it seems like there's only going to be 50 people or so, if that turn up. And most likely they'll be rallying outside empty offices as its the off season and slim chances of anyone actually being there. Whoever organized it didn't exactly think it through.

Same bloke that organized the ''Laurie Nicholls stand and cheer at whatever minute of the game it was'' maybe?

That would have been the 78th minute as Simmonds scored his 4th TRY …I stood but didn't cheer...

Best of luck to those that feel the need ...no doubt they are passionate on the issue but If they think the Club will change it's decision because of it ...they will be disappointed....If the Club did well they should be sitting with them...

A March ? :roll , talk about over exaggerated .

A large percentage of Unemployed fans going i dare say , some just have a bit to much time on there hands .
Like Geo says good luck to them but a massive time waster.

Theres a meeting between the NRL & the RLPA apparently on Monday, about the players dispute…the media on Tues will be all over that plus finals news, team lists, ins and outs etc...this wont rate a blip

What odds less people attend than pages in this thread?

Well, the NRL club that I follow has made a decision and are sticking to it. Whether I like it or not is beside the point. Next.

Even with good intentions I don't know why anyone would organise a protest for a weekday morning.
Fair enough if it was for a cause that could be supported by people who don't work - like greenies and Souffs supporters.

And why would you wait until this week when there's a good chance no one will be there. Why not last week or the week before when it was big news. The heat has been taken out of the story now.

Speaking of Concord, I was there today with the other tightarses picking up $50 jerseys.

Would make a great site for a Wests Tigers leagues club and a couple of 20 storey residential towers on top.

Get cracking Harry, there's a fortune to be made out of that gold mine.

First thing you would do if you really wanted this to work was to admit your own short comings.

Second step would be to try to get an outspoken celebrity to organise it. A Ben Ellias or Alan Jones, someone who is already on record as being upset.

Get them involved and then you have legitimacy and a chance to gain some momentum.

personally i wouldnt attend if it was just about Farah, if it included the removal of Taylor and Go well then i would actually take a day off work to attend.

Your actually employed?

I know your post is somewhat tongue in cheek but if really hope we see more parks ovals playing fields and less development

Plus wouldn't it make more sense to have our own WTLC handy to where we play?

Going back to Farah and his tap on the shoulder….even though we have many who say this hasn't been handled well or who is the main cause of this dispute,I had a discussion with a very good friend who has played and followed rugby league most of his life.I asked him where this sort of situation regarding a club captain and legend would end up after all is said and done...he said,in the end players come and go,wether sacked or retire or better offers, this situation could end up being for the better as far as WTs go,for years there has been turmoil and wether people like it or not,the board are determined to have a complete clean out,he said it happens in so many businesses and its part of life, how you accept it is up to you,but in the end the club does what it thinks is best for the club...he said, when the dust settles, the WTs will be a great team going ahead, you just have to try and keep the emotions out of it and keep your faith in your club,to often people who don't know the complete circumstances of the situation are happy to argue the point because they are disappointed at what has happened.....when this sort of thing happens, there are always reasons...just that we are not privy to them...

Problem is, we don't have a permanent home ground. So location of a leagues club would be more about what's most commercially viable and where we can make the most $$$.

And if you believe the reports will will be playing a lot of our home games out of parra in the future. Don't think parra leagues would be happy if we started up a leagues club around the corner.

As for development, wow! I must have lost count after about the 10th building redevelopment site I passed on the 20 minute drive to concord. Its just crazy.

(Ps Concord is used by the rah rahs mostly, so I say lets knock it down just for that reason).

I was told the Leichhardt Wanderers Club has written a letter to WTs expressing its strong disagreement with the treatment of Farah. This advice is from two much older former Balmain and Leichhardt Wanderers juniors. Both are honourable men who are extremely unhappy with what has happened.

Which Council is Concord in?

If that spoilt brat deputy mayor is apart of that council, he'd take a good bribe!

Pretty sure it's Canada Bay council.

Yesterday was the first time I've been inside the HQ.

It's actually quite embarrassing and run down inside. No wonder the club is on the lookout for new offices.

Thats where a lot of our problems start IMO,to start some sort of culture and soul in the JV we need a permanent home ground out West somewhere, most of the old Balmain tragics i'm still in touch with accept that its probaly inevitable if we are to have some sort of NRL representation and not end up like Newtown or Glebe.
Its not a done deal yet that we will survive in the future, the NRL could easily do a Wanderers and start from scratch like the Rams and Western Reds in the SL days to represent Greater Western Sydney.

Standard procedure.

Macquarie All Saints sent a similar letter when Gibbs left.

116 pages so far.

What's Sportsbets's odds as to what page this thread will finish at?

I'll reckon at, maybe, 148.

It will go close to 200, assuming he signs elsewhere. There will even more chaos in this thread then when the news broke. That's assuming a new thread isn't created when he does and the news gets merged into this one.
