Heard tonight that David smith is willing to pay the $2mil to Farah so he can move on as the tigers are part NRL owned he wants the drama over so they can all move forward so the Tigers can aim for the top 8 for 2016

If you are referring to the interview with Weidler on 9 News that is not what he said at all….

What was said? Any real news?

Umm No…Weidler asked him If the WT are prepared to pay Farah out the 2mill have they consulted with him seeing as the NRL finances the WT...He replied...No...

The thing is though it just shows what a Muppet of a reporter Weidler is...see Danny the NRL do not 'finance' the Wests Tigers ...they 'loaned' BDRLFC money to meet their financial obligation to the Wests Tigers...money that will be 'paid back' one way or another....Do some research you Gumby....

How funny would it be if Farah signed with Newcastle.

Every article you read points to Robbie being at Concord in 2016 and maybe all this drama will give him massive motivation to prove all his doubters wrong and put in a top year for us

- Maybe it will….. Because (obviously) a million dollars a year wasn't enough motivation

I think it's safe to assume Danny Weisel is on Ayoub's payroll… And now he has outlined Farah's end game, maybe we should play him in NSW Cup for 2 years!

He gets the million a year no matter how good or bad he plays and where he plays, but to get that sort of money you have to be good and have a ego, and when your ego takes a hit it can go two ways, you can sulk or you can prove them wrong and my guess is Farah will prove them wrong. The big question that remains is who will he be playing with when he proves them wrong

I'm over hearing about Harry

I find it interesting how ready people are free with suggestions of how to spend his money. I imagine him reading this forum and having a good laugh.

He wouldn't be the only one then. I get lots of good laughs from this forum too.
Great isn't it?

I can think of someone that he could give a couple of million too and I'd be appreciative as well.

Lol, i could use some of his moolah too Stevetiger. Don't like our chances though….

WestsTigers are not NRL owned. Not even partly owned….

Is this the same Danny Weidler?

Should make it a rule around here never to quote the guy, him and Rothfield are an absolute waste of space, waste of energy, waste of thought.

Depends what you have to do to earn it I guess

I'm sure it won't be anything too taxing. He is 82 after all… But then again, you never know with old Harry...

I just finished reading the in depth interview, between Phil Rothfeild and Dave Smith.
Some good questions asked. Its worth a read. Mentions Robbie too.
Rugby League News com.au if anyone is interested.

The bit…

BUZZ: I think the Wests Tigers’ treatment of Robbie Farah has been disgraceful. What are your thoughts on a one-club legend being told to move on while he is still under contract or go and play reserve grade?

SMITH: I think Robbie Farah has given a lot to the game. And he’s a great character. He’s also highly respected and I also think he has some good football ahead of him. Having said that I have nothing to do with the way clubs manage their rosters.

Funny stuff ...Buzz 18 months ago during Pottergate....said Farah IS the massive problem at the Wests Tigers and should be moved on.....One to many Bourbons me thinks

Buzz is and always has been, a disgrace to the journalist profession. Then again he does work for the Telegraph so to call him a journalist may be a stretch.

Phil Rothfield will say whatever generates sales. Given that the Telegraph is on poor terms with Wests, any chance he gets to do a hatchet job on them, particularly when he can get their fans onside as well, he'll happily do it.

He may well do….
I've heard upteen times how good he was in the warriors game after being told he was not wanted... And I was there - I saw how good he was.

Was also there the week after when he was back to his normal standard of well below ordinary....
- Seems easier for people to overlook that though

It's OK his mate….. Bourbon Bec A.K.A. the Lurker is onto it.....

Wests Tigers have all but written Robbie Farah out of history as the dispute between the star hooker and the club has sunk to an all-time low. The face of the franchise along with Benji Marshall for much of the past decade, Farah can't be found on Tigers media and merchandise in recent days.

In the wake of his fallout with coach Jason Taylor, the club has removed Farah's image from its phone app, with young utility back David Nofoaluma taking his place.
The membership page on the club's website features photos of several Tigers stars including Aaron Woods and Tim Simona - but no Farah.

And the club's Facebook page is full of photos of Woods, Simona and James Tedesco - but nothing recent of Farah. It's all part of the Tigers' ongoing campaign to oust the controversial hooker - but Farah continues to dig his heels in.

The Blues State of Origin star and his manager Sam Ayoub are confident they are winning the public relations war with Taylor and the club and are insistent on staying put. Farah is on huge money - the sort of cash no rival club could offer him this late in the year for 2016 under the salary cap. England is an option - but he doesn't want to leave the country. Farah has told mates he'll take his massive salary and play NSW Cup if he has to - unless a compromise can be reached with Taylor and the Tigers.
