Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

I don't know about you- but if I'm working with Tigers Media Relations, I'm not putting Farah into any ad campaigns either.

Not right now. If he sticks around, the club using him for advertising looks hipocritical, if he leaves- they have to re-do everything.

So leaving him out of advertising makes sense.

lol if they put farah on marketing campaigns, people will comment saying "they dont want him but they wanna market him".. i probably sound a bit hypocritical coz im on here criticising but some people will criticise no matter what anyone does.

and farah left aus a few weeks ago

No recent photos of Robbie? gee umm…..................wasn't he overseas for a bit?

so, that was just a story to keep the drama running

"Farah has told mates he'll take his massive salary and play NSW Cup if he has to" - I cannot believe Farah would do this if he wants to play 2016 SOO. But then again Laurie Daley has publicly almost promised him the gig even though it is 8 months away.

I just finished reading the in depth interview, between Phil Rothfeild and Dave Smith.
Some good questions asked. Its worth a read. Mentions Robbie too.
Rugby League News com.au if anyone is interested.

The bit…

BUZZ: I think the Wests Tigers’ treatment of Robbie Farah has been disgraceful. What are your thoughts on a one-club legend being told to move on while he is still under contract or go and play reserve grade?

SMITH: I think Robbie Farah has given a lot to the game. And he’s a great character. He’s also highly respected and I also think he has some good football ahead of him. Having said that I have nothing to do with the way clubs manage their rosters.

Funny stuff ...Buzz 18 months ago during Pottergate....said Farah IS the massive problem at the Wests Tigers and should be moved on.....One to many Bourbons me thinks

This is funny. The problem is that people read that stuff and believe it.

His mates then went and relayed that to the journalist. It doesn't really make any sense does it.

It's easy to make a promise you know you don't have to keep. I'm sure Daley knows it won't come to having to pick him out of NSW cup

If Farah does somehow start in NSW cup though, I'll give him a month and he will negotiate a release. It will be a cold day in hell before Farah plays 2 seasons in NSW cup. And that's not a knock on him, I'd say any player that's achieved what he has would ask for a release as well. That's why if it's true that he will be in NSW cup, he's better off leaving now before the pre season to prevent another season being derailed, because he won't last in NSW cup no matter how determined he is to stick it out.

If he does stay, whether in first grade or NSW cup, there's guaranteed to be some kind of controversy around him at some point as usual next yr.

Daley is a dumbarse. He was calling JT's bluff with that statement. He will not pick a hooker from State Cup no matter how well he is going. If someone else stands up to be counted in first grade next year they will be picked before Farah.

I don't think he'll last playing reserves either. Theres two upsides of playing him there.
Firstly, taylor doesn't have to deal with him and will have full control othe team. Secondly, he will ask for a release eventually and save us millions.
Upsides from taylors point of view that is. And he'll be the one picking the team.

No he won't. The next club will offer peanuts and we'll be left footing the bill for the rest. Unless there are a few teams whose hookers don't start well there will be no bidding war to benefit us.

Hope he stays and plays reserve grade. What happens if we win our first couple of games? Hilarious the guy has been overrated for years. He's always been a second rate halfback in a hookers Jersey.

Lol, Daley was just playing the game Ayoub wanted him to play.

I doubt Farah will play NSW Cup… But I cant see him playing for the Tigers either!

Ayoub hasn't been to smart here. He narrowed farahs potential club down to a Sydney club that had genuine claims for a premiership and got no takers. Farah is starting down the barrel of retirement now

Phil changes his mind more often, then a baby changes diapers Geo.

Given that I'm recently qualified in this, I can confirm that is correct…

 …How is your beutiful baby boy CB ?

He's doing very well TM. Gaining weight, already lifting his own head and able to flip it from side to side when on his stomach. The boy is as strong as an ox for 10 days old. Community nurse was really surprised how developed he is physically considering he was 3 weeks premmy.

Absolutely adore the little guy

Feel sorry for you twist minded team followers..
Fancy saying that about the current nsw hooker…

Can't wait until Ennis kicks off next year in the same form he finished this year…
And Robbie is forced into the realization that he isn't the best hooker in NSW, Meanwhile he's not first choice hooker at the Tigers - I'm sure Leeds will look a fair bit more attractive then!!
